me: [comes out of a dark alleyway, snapping fingers rhythmically]

Because if we don’t build it who will?
I do things on a shoestring that you couldn’t do for a cool mil
I run with no laces, and when I fall I start to build my Taj Mahal with shit I found at Dollarmart
This life’s our greatest project
The journey’s all an art
But I built my perfect nest, and it’s bout to fall apart
Again and again and then I just make it twice as high
And then I give my tower teeth, and I watch it bite the sky
Because I might just cry if I don’t keep it movin
I focus on what I can make and not what just got ruined
Cause every stone will crumble down to dust, to dust, to dust
And I said love thy neighbor, and I say fuck thy hater
There’s nothing I can’t solve with duct tape and construction paper
I don’t want a Band-Aid on, we rip it off, I’ll rip it off

“Because you obviously aren’t me! Oh god this is going to be like some horrible science fiction b-plot isn’t? Oh dear god!” Megamind glared accusingly at her, “I do NOT need my life to be any more complicated!”
Seeing the setting on the other’s gun was the same as his own, he lowered de-gun slowly, “How?”
“And I suppose I should just allow mine to become more complicated instead?” Megamind shoots back, still watching Syx closely and keeping a careful grip on her de-gun even as her double lowers his. Only lowering her own when she feels more comfortable doing so, which takes a little longer, she keeps it at the ready despite that.
“How what, exactly?” He really was new to this whole business, it seemed.
“How this!” Megamind waved between the two of them with his free hand, he was jittery, “How are you blue? Why did nearly half my territory disappear? How come the corner shop on Washington is an office building? Just how?”
He made an exasperated sound, legs twitching, he wanted to pace but he didn’t trust the person in front of him. Behind him one of the older model brain bots bowged. He turned looking at in incredulously, “No she’s not your daddy!” it bowged again, it’s programming to simple and brain too dog-like to understand the difference, “No! no no no! You only have one daddy. Oh dear evil god!”

THE STARS ARE ASCENDING.
No but I really need to make a full-on drawing with colors and everything though.
Got your attention, now I’m gonna keep it, better listen up

“Ha!” Megamind crowed, shaking off the light blow Metro Man had given him. He was fully aware that the hero wasn’t even using a fraction of his strength, “You call that a punch, he-ro! Evil is impervious to your poor choreography.”
Megamind sighed and leaned against Metro Man’s side, it was just to keep out of the wind, or that’s what he’d claim if the man pressed him, “Whatever, just take me home.”
There were some days the game weighed on him endlessly, but he couldn’t see any other way for it to be.
“ Alright, little buddy.” He murmurs softly, reaching around and grabbing Megamind’s cape, pulling it up and around the small, blue alien, and began to fly to the prison again. He didn’t go very fast, not wanting the wind to sting Megamind’s cheeks, but also enjoying the quiet company until they reached their destination.
Before floating down, Wayne raised an eyebrow at Megamind and looked at his collar. Did they want to do the whole toss him in by it bit again?
As they neared the prison Megamind mad a show of acting up and being non-compliant, “You may have one this round, he-roooo, but your luck wont hold forever!”
Bracing himself to chucked inside.
Wayne smirked and quickly gathered up enough material of Megamind’s cape and collar to hold him by it easily and once at the prison gates, tossed him to the guards inside.
“ Try and keep him in tight this time, guys. Who knows what he’s got next.” Metro Man winks at them, and also briefly at Megamind before giving a salute and flying away.

Megamind bristled, “Those were accidents!” and they still weighed heavily on his mind, “Besides that’s what we started the time out rule for, Metrooo Mahn,” he rolled his eyes, feeling that if his nemesis felt the need to remind him of the obvious that he;s insult his inelegance right back.
Fair enough, that was called for.
Shaking his head and stopping the flight for a moment, he adjusted Megamind in his arm so that the man could be comfortably sitting in crook of it, and not have his stomach and arms squished against Wayne’s solid arm and form.
“ Okay, okay. I know they were… I’m sorry, they just, still weigh me down, too.” He wanted to ask if they were good, but they never really were. Even with the conversations they have, the agreements they might have on some things, they were still on opposite sides of the law.
It really saddened him, sometimes.

Megamind twisted in Metro Man’s grip and glared at the larger man’s belt, “That’d defeat the point!” unfortunately the building he needed to knock down was near the populated area, but what he had in mind would keep things to a minimum, “Evil doesn’t respect your requests.”
“Alright then how about Justice demands. No civilian casualties if you can damn well help it, Megamind.” Metro Man warns, a serious tone to his voice.
He knew the villain was good at having areas mostly clear but sometimes…
Sometimes he felt like he needed to get the point across again.
He would lay serious hurt on the man if any harm came to someone innocent.
