The fencing lesson had been going well, Syx was having more fun then he had in ages and this was far better then sparing with a brain bot. Emma however had a bad habit of using far too much strength for the thin blade, so when her lunge missed she punched Syx square in the jaw. His head snapped back as he staggered.

Emma was a very fast learner, making small, minor adjustments each time she got tagged, and she tagged in return. Her eyes shone with the challenge of it, her body hummed with the physical assertion she hadn’t had in some time.. she really needed to find something like this to keep herself fit.

Finally, after some time, she called a stop, taking a deep breath as she laughed breathlessly, “This is so much fun,” she laughed again, wiping at the sweat on her brow.

Syx rolled his shoulders and stretched after tossing his foil toward a brain bot who caught it and started playing with it, “Oh very much so!”

Minion wandered out to their sparring area with a plate of chilled lemonade, “I thought you might need something to cool down, Sir,” the fish smiled brightly flashing his sharp teeth from his tank in the large robotic gorilla suit.

Emma grinned, “Okay, so short break and another round? Or can you show me those prototypes you said I could look at!?” She looked so delighted at the idea of it. She was eager to learn everything, and to know how it worked..

“Oh! Hey Minion!” She chirped, trotting her way towards the robotic suic that housed the fish in a graceful, dance like manner.

“Looks amazing. If I go into a sugar high I’ll blame you,” She grinned broadly as she took up her cup of lemonade.

Syx laughed easily and took up a glass himself, “Well if you do we’ll just have to find a way to burn off that energy,” he waggled his eyebrows at her.

“I can give you a bit of a tour while we both cool off,” he downed his glass and gave it back to Minion, “No touching though unless I say it’s alright. Most of this stuff is very dangerous or experimental,” he started off slowly waiting for her to follow, today he was wearing just tight black pants and a tank top. He had over the elbow gloves but they were spikeless.

“How this!” Megamind waved between the two of them with his free hand, he was jittery, “How are you blue? Why did nearly half my territory disappear? How come the corner shop on Washington is an office building? Just how?”

He made an exasperated sound, legs twitching, he wanted to pace but he didn’t trust the person in front of him. Behind him one of the older model brain bots bowged. He turned looking at in incredulously, “No she’s not your daddy!” it bowged again, it’s programming to simple and brain too dog-like to understand the difference, “No! no no no! You only have one daddy. Oh dear evil god!”

Both of Megamind’s brainbots move downward, hovering between her and the strange new person now in defensive positions. Syx’s ‘bots not realizing the difference between the two of them has some amusement invading her expression, something she’s not bothering to hide.

“The same reason you are, for starters.” she explains easily, having waited to regain his attention. “And I’m afraid you’re mistaken, none of your territory is here.”

Megamind huffed and scowled at his female double, “It was last week!”

“I’ve spent the last decade carving up this entire city and shaping the underworld in Metrocity! I am NOT having my life work be undone over night!” his voice edged on hysterical.

This was like some sort of new nightmare. It had taken so long to learn the ins and out of every gang in the city. Build truces, fight for power. Play them off each other. Build his shadow empire. Balance his two personas. Enough to make him feel half insane and keep him up at night.

Send 💕 for a drabble about our muses based on the song I am currently listening to

The times that she had been able to spend with Syx had been incredibly fun for Emma, and this night was no different. Opting to go with him to a much different area, into a club where the music pulsed around them, she couldn’t help but smile broadly as the two wove their way through to the dance floor.

Shifting, Emma began to dance, letting her body go free and dance without care of how she looked or how provocative she was being with Syx. The style of her dancing matched the style of the song, grinding up against her newest friend.

“No nicknames period!” Megamind threw up his hands in exasperation, “Are you ever listening to me three-twenty-nine? Not-Daddy needs to stop petting you and don’t you even give me that look!”

Teeth gritted he focused on the other blue alien again, “Not that it’s any of your business but I’ve never pierced my tongue and and evil has many uses hard crystalline structures,” he raised his brows archingly. He’d self pierced his eyebrow and nose in his teen years but those had healed up over the years. It was just a bad idea for a career villain.

Harrison stops petting the brainbot and gives Megamind a ‘bitch please’ look.  He understands abstractly that Megamind has an evil image to uphold, but he’s not sure why his friend would lie about something so odd and insignificant.

“Uh I’ve seen it with my own eyes, sweetie.  And heard the x-rated oral details from your ex,” he says pointedly.  “As well as having a copy of the technical specs for his tongue stud psi blocker sitting at home.”  Harrison takes a few steps closer and his voice drops lower.  “Is this an evil image thing?  I can never tell.”

Megamind floundered mouth working silently before bursting out, “The fuck are you talking about?!” snapping his mouth shut as he realized his slip he stomped angrily he hissed lowly, “I am thoroughly blaming you for that, Suit!”

A flush had creeped into his face, half embarrassment and half anger. Fists tight as glowered at Harrison, leaning into his personal space, “I am not your sweetie and I have no idea who on this ever loving evil rock you are. I do not have an ex and what I do with who I chose to do it with is none of your business.”

Megamind faltered at that, a deep from settling on his face. The fuck did he just get called? That was new and certainly not welcome.

“Excuse me! I will deal with you momentarily,” Megamind pointed at the strange double. He did not know how to deal with that. The man’s presence was already throwing him off his groove.

Pointing to the store clerk he demanded, “Paaaaalease don’t pretend this is your first robbery, jewels in the bags. and ah ah, they bite,” he playfully warned someone who’d attempted to stop a brain bot from digging through a cabinet.

Letting his bots go about the work of gathering the loot, Megamind turned his attention to the blue man, “One I’m not your pet, two don’t tell me your Megamind I’ve already had enough of that, three!” he turned glaring at the brain bot, “That is not your daddy!”

Harrison snorted as Megamind summarily dismissed him.  He wasn’t surprised however that it turned out to be a jewelry heist – while part of him would enjoy a good kidnapping, Wayne and Megamind had worked out a limited truce for Devins first few months.  No new parent needs the extra stress of abduction or robotic unicorns.  While Megamind bossed around the clerks, Harrison continued to pet the playful brainbot.

“Whose a good boy for Other Daddy?” Harrison cooed, scritching the top of it’s plasma ball, careful to avoid the saw blade mounted on top.  “Yes you are!”

He looked up at Megamind, watching the other man with a smirk as he ticked off the numbers theatrically.  “So no nicknames during evil business, check,” he says with a casual and comfortable laugh.  “I gotta say, I didn’t think this kind of jewelry was your thing.  I doubt they sell tongue studs here.”

The door to the shop banged open, smoke billowing inside as laser lights flashed. From speakers held by Brain Bots Trespassing started playing and blared throughout the shop. with a swagger and a shimmy Megamind strutted into the jewelry, de-gun already in hand. As “wait till ya get a load of me!” was sang he grinned wickedly a the staff, “Please, do try and behave yourselves, soft headed sheeple. Keep your hands away from any hidden buttons and we can all have just a lovely time!”

A small crowd of brain bots filed in behind him, snapping their jaws and looking threatening. One stopped in front of Harrison and bowged inquisitively.

As soon as he saw the smoke and lasers, a splitting grin spread across Harrison’s face.  He claps along with the song in obvious delight, happy to see his friend after another one of Megamind’s self-imposed periods of solitude.  The staff of the jewelry store doesn’t share his joy, immediately cowering at the sight of the city’s supervillain emerging from the smoke.  Harrison pays them not attention.  The brainbot that hovers in front of him reminds him of 10091, the bot Megamind gave him.  So he reaches out for the plasma dome without the slightest fear of the bear-trap jaws.  He gives it a few good natured pats then looks up at Megamind.

“Long time no see, pet,” Harrison says through a fearless smirk.  “Evil plans afoot I assume?”

Megamind faltered at that, a deep frown settling on his face. The fuck did he just get called? That was new and certainly not welcome.

Emma however had a bad habit of using far too much strength for the thin blade, so when her lunge missed she punched Syx square in the jaw. His head snapped back as he staggered.

Syx took a ready stance, he’d already been sans helmet since they wouldn’t fit over his head. He laughed heartily, “One of the men I knew from prison, a friend of my Uncle Tony, he had a mean right hook. Especially if you nicked his cigarettes.”

Grinning he waited for her to be in place before lunging forward with a quick jab. Each bout only lasted a few thrusts and jabs before someone got tagged by the flexible blade.

Emma was a very fast learner, making small, minor adjustments each time she got tagged, and she tagged in return. Her eyes shone with the challenge of it, her body hummed with the physical assertion she hadn’t had in some time.. she really needed to find something like this to keep herself fit.

Harrison perused the selection of high end watches with idle curiosity.  He certainly did not need a new watch, and in fact, Wayne would probably roll his eyes at anything he brought home.  He could just hear Wayne’s tone as his mate pointed out that he had a cabinet full of watches.  But after six weeks of being a stay-at-home dad, the blue man felt like he deserved something special and sparkly.  Or several sparkly things as it were.

In fact the entire day was a bit of a treat.  Wayne had taken Devin to play with Six and Alice’s daughter, and while Harrison could have tagged along, he was relishing having some time all to himself.  He loved his son beyond words, but he already felt like he’d changed enough diapers for a lifetime.  Now he was seated and sipping sparkling water as the staff brought him dozens of designer watches to peruse on velvet trays.

He couldn’t decide between a pair of Versace watches, so he decided to get them both.  Perhaps one would be a gift for Sheldon once he made up his mind.   When nothing had caught his eye after a half an hour, he considered leaving with just the Versaces.  But then he saw a Bvlgari watch so obscenely crusted in diamonds that no price was listed and instantly his hands went to the soft leather of the strap so he could try it on hi slender blue wrist.

The door to the shop banged open, smoke billowing inside as laser lights flashed.
