– Send a 💙 and the type of relationship you’re interested in(platonic, romantic, hate, etc),and I’ll make a random small starter for us, smack dab in the middle of said relationship (especially if our muses haven’t interacted yet) & we can go from there. Let’s see where it takes us!
Sitting on the coast of LAKE MICHIGAN, METRO CITY is a shining beacon of progress. This iconic and quickly growing city is home to museums and art galleries, culture and class, grown out from its manufacturing and shipping roots. Walking through downtown surrounded by the urban sprawl of progress and towering skyscrapers, one can’t help but marvel at the progress of humanity…
Explosions rip through the city, sirens blare, MEGAMIND is at it again, or maybe one of the city’s OTHER COUNTLESS VILLAINS. Someone ducks into a nearby coffee shop and watches the city’s defender fly past. Just another day in METRO CITY. Buildings fall. They are rebuilt. Villains and Heros. Gods and Demons. Magic and Mundane. All those in between and just trying to live their lives. This city never stays the same for long. On the crossing of ley lines and a multi-universe split, it is home to magic and chaos. You can find just about anyone and anything…If you know where to look.
Megamind pulled up short, blinking down at the small child? a hand drawing up to his chest as he peered dow at her. Black cape pulled around him, the blue man rocked back on his heels, “My! Aren’t you interesting!”
“Megamind, Criminal Genius and Master of all Villainy,” he boasted with a smirk, “And I’m deplorably bad, which is good. For the sake of bad.”
“Dep…wobab.” Dana smiled up at him and made a little wave. “I an irken. You…an alien too?” She tilted her head to the side and smiled wider before grabbing at the cape. “CAPE.” The Irken seemed to like the cape.
Megamind frowned with a tip of his head, “Irken? I’ve not heard of that one before,” though if she was listening off alien races, he’d be clueless regardless. He didn’t even know the proper name for his own species.
“Cape yes…” oh no, this one seemed very young. Megamind had always been happy to leave the strange babies to Metro Man, “It’s an essential staple of any villainous costume.”
He was outside. Crouching on a rooftop. Syx was familiar with the area and being on a roof wasn’t that strange… but… he didn’t remember coming out here. Maybe he’d… sleep walked? He’d been building something in Evil Lair… Anna had…. tried to get him to come to bed, but he’d been on a roll and wanted to finish. He’d promised to make it up to her later. Likely he’d fallen asleep at the drafting table, it would hardly be the first time that happened.
Still, it hardly explained what was going on currently. Standing Syx stepped back from the ledge. He didn’t feel tired. At all. Bouncing on his toes he marveled at how odd that was. His clothing was odd too… not his normal leather and spandex. Speaking on that… he reached up and touched his head. Small. Hair.
WHAT?!
Jerking in shock and growing panic, Syx spun and dropped to the ground. He made a beeline for the lair. He didn’t know what was going on but he needed Minion NOW!.
Anna made a soft sound of confusion, her lips parting in shock. She knew Syx’s mannerisms of speaking without even having to listen that hard, looking to the blonde woman, before back to the blue skinned man that was supposed to be her mate.
“36 let him go,” She urged, her voice raising a bit more so it could hear her properly once she realized that the person currently occupying her mate’s body wasn’t going to do so. “Bad! Bad let him go!” She urged, “He’s a friend!” She added, unsure just what would work.. so she tried it all.
With Mommy telling him not to, 36 made a sad bowg and let go. It’d been having fun chewing. Depressed at hearing yelled at and told off it retreated to Anna’s arms. The new bots who here smarter than the old bot, accepted the verbal command of ‘freind’ by designated user: Mommy, and started buzzing about the lair again. 756 wandered over holding a wrench to Veda, presenting a wrench to what looked like Daddy.
“Finally!” sighing with relief, Syx frowned as he watched the bots ignore him. That was disconcerting, they were his creations, they loved him… being ignored was worse than he might have thought it would be. He moved over towards Anna, glaring at the imposter wearing his face, “I have no idea what happened, I was just suddenly on a roof like this. I’m pink!” he held up a hand, looking down at himself, “And female? And blond?”
one example of healthy polyamory: person a, person b, and person c are dating. every one is fully consenting to be in the relationship.
another example of healthy polyamory: person a and person b are dating. person a is also dating person c, but person b and c would like to remain just friends. every one is fully consenting to be in the relationship.
another example of healthy polyamory: person a and person b are dating, but they both feel it is okay to kiss/hold hands/have sex with other people that they are not dating. this is called an open relationship, and is often considered a form of polyamory. both partners are fully consenting to be in the relationship, and those who are not in the relationship understand and are fully consenting to the romantic acts. boundaries are established and agreed upon by all parties.
there are a lot of different types of poly relationships and poly relationship dynamics, it is not a one-size-fits-all thing. stop telling polyamorous people that their relationships are invalid because you dont like it
“I told you it was only semi-neutral territory. I don’t really see how that changes anything about my offer. It’ll still be the best free Italian you’ll ever have.”

“Tha’ aint the same as ya sayin’ ya have a connection ta the place an’ ya know i’.”
“Where is the place tha’ ya talkin’ abou’?”
“Fine, fine.”
“It’s just off the downtown. A few blocks from the Museum,” he gave her the address, “It has plenty of back rooms. I stop in there fairly regularly.”
“Oh,” Roxanne hadn’t really ever questioned the labels before. She’d grown up with girlfriend and boyfriend, husband and wife. It was a struggle to remember to think outside of that sometimes. She did try, though, “That makes sense, I just haven’t heard that in the context of a person before, just animals.”
“Respect…” Roxanne echoed, looking down at the blue hand on her knee. She sighed, did she respect Megamind? Not his villainy… but his genius? the man that she saw glimpses of occasionally when the act slipped? That man she did respect. She admired his tenacity and his creativity. She’d never realized that he might think highly of her as well. He respected her privacy and took care to maintain their strange working relationship… but that it might be more than professional courtesy… suddenly she wasn’t sure how to feel. Especially considering that her Megamind might not even be around anymore.
Keeping her muddled thoughts to herself, she instead marveled, “You know… I’ve never actually seen Megamind’s hands before. Not this close, anyway. The only time I’ve ever seen him without his gloves was years ago when I interviewed him in prison,” she bit her lip at the memory, he was so different there. He’d hardly seemed like the man she knew. It had been the only time she’d ever actually been scared of him, seeing him bound to a chair with straps, snarling at the guards with a murderous expression she’d never seen on him before. Letting out a breath, Roxanne refocused, “Your nails are lovely.”
Harrison’s face shifted from a serious to a wide grin. That crack about animals was a bit rude but he’s a sucker for a compliment.
“Let me know if you need a manicurist,” he boasts. “I get a simple buff with a light purple clear coat most of the time. It brings out the color in my cheeks. But Ivy does this absolutely divine hand massage with a geranium sea salt scrub. Of course, I take better care of my skin than those of us blue people who became villains. Their hands are always so rough and scarred! I’ve been trying to evangelize to Syx about the wonders of moisturizer, but I’m afraid it falls on deaf ears.” And he rolled his eyes melodramatically.
Roxanne had to laugh, “I don’t know about completely deaf ears. My Megamind took well to eyeliner and contouring after I demoed it for him. That was one of my favorite early kidnappings. I think you just have to frame it in the right light, it’s all about presentation after all.”
With a joyful grin, she shook her head at the offer, “It sounds lovely, but also expensive Mr. Billionare. I’ll stick to my once a month mani-pedi treat at the nail salon. Some of us have budgets.”
