Syx hadn’t slept the entire time he’d been behind bars, he just couldn’t. The dreams always haunted him. The solitary made him feel half mad. More than half mad really. He’d pulled a stupid stunt to get out.  More foolish than he should, but it worked. Anna and Minion would be eager to see him. So would Wayne. Yet he found himself outside of the towering building that Harrison lived in. The bags under his eyes were deep, a five-o-clock shadow on his jaw, his clothing too big and stolen. He’d used a brain bot to fly up to the roof of a nearby building. He didn’t even know what his plan was. He was just tired and wanted the thoughts to go away.

Syx curled his arms around his brainbot and blinked at the printout, it took him far longer than it should in order make out the words. When he’d finally understood the message he just shrugged, “Just wanted to see you.”

Harrison let out a little sigh.  He still wasn’t sure if this was Syx or Megamind, but whomever he was, the blue man was clearly no threat.  Up close he looked exhausted and troubled.

So a few key strokes brings the forcefield around his home down and he heads out to the terrace.  Meanwhile 10097 prints out another receipt that says “Come on over” and nudges itself under Syx’s arms to fly him over.

Syx looped his arm over Harrison’s brainbot as well so he was held up by both and let them fly him over to the terrace. When his feet touch the ground he took the few steps more and dropped his head to Harrison’s shoulder, “You have a lot of security. I’d have called but I don’t have my phone.”

Harrison’s forcefield security system might only cover his building, but 360 degree eyes on the surrounding area quickly alert him to any incoming threat.  Or to the anomaly of a blue man using a brainbot to fly to the top of a neighboring building, then watching his penthouse like a weirdo.  Harrison studied the image on the screen, but it was impossible to tell who exactly was over there.  It might be one of the Megaminds he knows, or it could be a new threat.  And with Devin down peacefully for the night, he just didn’t want to take a chance.

So he sent 10097 over, it’s camera live-streaming back to Harrison’s tablet and it’s tiny reciept printer spitting out a small piece of paper that said ‘Can I help you with something?” as it hovered in front of Syx.

Syx curled his arms around his brainbot and blinked at the printout, it took him far longer than it should in order make out the words. When he’d finally understood the message he just shrugged, “Just wanted to see you.”

“Its not blue its cerulean! I am not colorblind. Yer jus’ bad at bein’ wrong.”

“Oh yes, I’m the one who can’t handle being wrong, yes that’s exactly what’s going on here,” Megamind rolled his eyes.

“It is, cuz I’m right, yer wrong. Tha’s the name o’ the game, dude. Its called Emma’s Right. The rules are pretty simple. I’m right. All the time.”

“Noooooooo no no,” Megamind shook a finger at her, “What you’re demonstrating is how much of a spoiled brat you are. Maybe I should send you back to daddy in a cube. I can even add a note of ‘please spank’, ha!”

She snickered, “Don’ ya have graffiti ta paint?” She rolled her eyes. “Ya know, if ya just ask nicely, I might consider helpin ya..”

“I am perfectly capable of maintaining my own territory,” Megamind stuck his chin up, “Besides, aren’t cats colorblind? You always get the color wrong.”

Syx reached out to rub the dome of one of her Brain Bots, his own moving to play with them now that they were is familiar territory. Others moving to explore the area. Turning to his female counterpart Syx sighed, “This is all going to be a headache isn’t it?” his exhaustion showing heavily now that he was calm.

“Most likely.” Megamind wasn’t going to mince words about that, watching as the mixed group of Brainbots begin playing with each other. That at least was hopefully a good sign.

Syx shook his head, “This is just getting trippy now,” he waved his hand around, “This could easily be one of my Evil Lairs over the years. Hell parts of it look identical,” he looked at his counterpart, “How is this,” he waved between himself and her, “Even possible?”
