Syx turned and gave her an incredulous look, “Oh god, no. One Doom Syndicate fighting another? I’m not suicidal. The whole city would look like a Mad Max film,” he shuddered at the devastation a full out super villain battle between powerhouses like that could potentially cause, “I want to forestall a major battle, not cause one.”

He sighed heavily and frowned softly at her show of concern, putting a hand halfway out towards her before dropping it and looking away, “I will,” he gave a half-hearted laugh and a shrug, “You know me, I always bounce back swinging.”

That last bit, though, “Fear?” his frown deepened, he was better at avoiding his darkest fears than facing them, “…how so?”

She watched him with an intelligent gleam in those pale eyes of hers, watching him react as he did. She knew this was likely hard for the blue man, and oddly enough she found herself almost sympathetic towards him. Not enough to openly help him and side with him, but certainly enough to soften her a bit in a manner that he would see from time to time (when they weren’t bickering). Much like her Father she preferred to keep a low profile… though should push come to shove, she would certainly intervene

The question had her lips twitching just a touch, “Dad works on pleasure and happiness, yeah? The fine things in life. Call ‘imself a witch doctor fer a reason… works ta fix the ailments…,” she was speaking in riddles and she knew it… but it was how she needed to handle this right now. Where Jim used his powers to put people at ease, relax them and make them feel happy.. from what she understood and what he had told her, Jon used his smoke and powers to draw out the fear and terrify people. She hoped that Syx would catch her drift in where she was going with this, giving Syx information by explaining to him what her own Dad did with his powers…

“Yeah, so?” Syx looked at Lyn in exasperation waiting for her to finish the thought but she never did, then pinched the bridge of his nose, “You’re as bad as a Sphynx.”

“There… there are a lot of ways I could interpret that,” he sighed heavily, but waved a hand dismissively at the thought, “Yeah, neutral, I get it. Hell Sphynx,” he shook his head but pulled himself together as he prepared to leave. He had so much to do.

He softened and bit his lip, “Thanks, though, Emma. It’s more than I started with.”
