Syx ducked his had, “It uhh… Doesn’t translate well,” he didn’t have the context of understanding of his native language to even begin to hope at translating it. He traced his blue fingers over the warm brown of her neck, “It’s something mother used to tell me.”
Kissing her neck again he murmured, “It means love and promises and hope for the future,” sitting in the sandy earth, the stars above them, Syx curled his arms around Anna and threaded their fingers together, “Because right here, like this, with you, the future is a beautiful thing.”
Anna smiled a small gentle smile as Syx spoke, simply relishing in the sensation of her mate so close to share their combined body heat. Even if the layers of clothing he did insist on her wearing prevented her from being able to feel all of it, she was able to feel enough to relish in the sensation. There was a soft noise mostly originating from her chest as he kissed her neck, lips parting to let out a soft sigh. She felt an incredible sense of home as they lay together, only their close proximity keeping the chill of the air from touching them.
“..It is. And it always will be. Our place is not home… you are home,” she murmured, smiling that smile that seemed to only be reserved for him. Fingers tightening around his hand, she shifted to run her nose along his jaw line before she angled her head just enough to kiss him, trying to convey the love for him through the contact.
Syx melted into her kiss, his free hand drifting gently behind her head, his fingers threading through her hair. The feel of it always delighting him. And her love. The smell of it, of her, he seemed to be able to read so many more subtleties the longer they were together. So many little flavors of it that he hadn’t gotten before. A faint bouquet that was all that much sweeter becuase he had learned to read her.
Wild and earthy and free. She reminded him of cardamon and dark chocolate. Campfire cooked marshmallows and the smell of the wind right off the lake. It’s why he had to take her here. Where the wilderness met the Lake. Where his life met her nature. Under the stars, he came from and on the Earth she was born from.
Syx would always be a city creature, but the woods always had a fascination… Even more so when he was wrapped up in his dear Tiger… No, his Evil Queen. His lips moved with a greater urgency as he rolled over the top of her, his kisses trailing down her neck to suck on the tender skin. Clever blue fingers worked their way under the layers of warm clothing, seeking skin. The fire of her, so hot to his cool touch. With his palm pressed against her side, he moaned softly into her mouth, “Anna…”
And then he recalled that the gift was only half over, “OH!”
Bouncing off her with a giddy smile plastered all over his face, he waved his hands about wildly, “I have more! I’ve been working on it for ages. Oh where did I put that?” the blue genius started digging through the pack, “Because you can hardly be an Evil Queen without a costume!” he looked over his shoulder and quickly added, “Not that you have to go out and commit dastardly evil schemes with me, but if you wanted to. And if you DO then we can put branding on this!”
