omg sooooo I’m writing again? So something good from all of this and it’s NaNo soooooo yeah, have a rough 6k story I wrote in one day because fuck life rn.
Rating: G but tw for descriptions of the perspective of a clinically depressed character
Summary: The entire movie, but from the POV of Metro Man ( because I was thinking so much about him and I am depressed as fuck right now, also I have so many head canons for him I’d yet to explore )
At the beginning of the movie, Metro Man is addressing the crowd and he says, “The greatest honor you’ve given me is letting me serve you, the helpless people of Metro City. And at the end of every day, I often ask myself, who would I be without you?”
He’s trying to tell them. He’s hinting at what’s been going on in his head. It goes right through them, but if you look closely at his eyes, you can see the sadness. He’s admitting he’s looking for his own life beyond the title the population has given him of “hero.” He wants to know who he’d be without them.
We caught up with Adam Granduciel from The War On Drugs playing a Fender Paramount Parlor in his studio. We can’t wait for their upcoming record, which Pitchfork called one of the albums they’re most excited for this year!
