❝ That would be me. ❞ Caspian started, his free hand tucking into his jean pocket as he rocks on his heals a little. He was certainly not offended by the man backing up a step –– having been there and knowing that sometimes the physical can be intimidating. It took him a long time to realize that contact could be warming rather than burning. His brows lifted just a touch with curiosity as the man gave him his name, instantly recognizing it.
❝ Oh Syx! Yes, Emma talks about you all the time. ❞ He urged, his ease nature flowing a touch better (especially after having a few drinks in him ––– Birthday? What Birthday?). ❝ Gods, it’s great to finally meet you. ❞ He goes on, tilting his head just a touch, hair falling into his face before a ring covered hand moved to brush it back away from his face.
❝ In that case, you can call me Cas. Most of my friends do. ❞ And admittedly, he really liked that Emma tended to use his full name when they were together. It felt so special coming from her.
“Well then! Cas it is,” Syx grinned though he had no earthy idea what to even talk about. Fidgeting with the edges of his jacket, he asked, “So you like music, right? What all do you listen to?”
He hated these sorts of interactions. It was so much easier to talk to people online when he could find out their shared topics before the conversation even started. His anxiety about coming off as either a criminal punk or hopeless nerd peeking horribly.
Grumbling to himself about the idiots plaguing him in this city and the horrible sheeple that refuse to even begin to make sense, Syx sat on a fire escape smoking. Now with Anna in the lair, he was more embarrassed about his bad habit before. Even before he never smoked in the Evil Lair, just to avoid Minion’s nagging.
“Shit!” Syx swore. Having been out visiting one of his Uncles under the safety of his disguise watch, his heart jumped at the sight of the cop version of Wayne. Shit! Fuck! God Damnit!
Chewing on his lip, he debated what to do. Though hovering awkwardly in the entry to the Italian restaurant hardly made him inconspicuous.
With his holowatch firmly in place and activated, Syx strode into the small tattoo parlor wearing his most often used dark skinned face. His afro filling a portion of the space his blue head did in order to help the disguise generator. He found that the less the watch had to drastically fabricate the more realistic the disguise and the longer the charge lasted. Generating flowing hair and clothing he wasn’t actually wearing stressed the-the algorithms in the watch and increased the likelihood he’d end up looking like a CGI character come to life.
Smoothing out his leather jacket, Syx grinned at his uncle and leaned against the counter. Chatting about business and news since he’d been in prison. Passing on messages from those who were still inside.
Noticing Paige coming in he gave her a little wave, heading over toward her and plopping down in her tattoo chair as if he hadn’t turned down every offer she’d ever made to give him one. He flashed her a wide charming smile, green eyes shining.
“Draw up anything new while I was gone?” he always adored seeing her sketches for her designs.
Syx grinned back, “I’ve always been one to apree-ciate art and passion,” he over enunciated, hands on his knees, “Oh, turn here.”
He directed her to his uncle’s place, “Park in the back, he’s expecting us.”
Paige followed his directions without hesitation, moving along before slipping in to the back of the building that he indicated. She was quiet even as she parked the car, turning it off before smiling some over at Syx.
“Shall we then?” She mused, chuckling as she reached back for her purse and got out of the car. As soon as he was out she locked the doors, waiting for him to come around before walking with him to the building.
Slipping out of the vehicle, Syx headed straight for the door, giving it a very specific series of knocks.
When the door opened, the large burly tattooed man informed them, “Ya know I can see ya through the camera’s right, little Blue?”
Scowling, Syx crossed his arms, “Uncle Freddy, please,” he whined, a light blush rising to his cheeks, “Megamind or at least Syx in front of company.”
“Ah come on kiddo! Ya said yerself she’s part a the gang, hey?” Freddy Fast-Fingers through an arm around Syx’s shoulders and steered him inside, “Come on girly. Don’t normally got a reason ta do breakfasts. How ya feel ‘bout a good proper quiche? Though it’ll be light on the dairy cuz a this one, huh?” he elbowed Syx casually.
Syx let out a soft chuckle, cradling his cocoa, “Well that makes two of us. I feel like I’m flying blind.”
The whole relationship thing, in general, was a highly new concept for the blue villain. It hadn’t been so long ago that he’d started seeing his Wayne secretly… and now suddenly it was like a whole unexplored portion of his heart had opened up, hungry to be filled. The need for these connections didn’t, unfortunately, mean that he knew how to handle them.
Looking over to Harrison, Syx let out a breath, “Very little makes sense anymore. I think I need a flow chart and five idea boards just to start to figure things out… but this is nice?” he flashed a small smile, “New, terrifying, and exciting.”
Harrison couldn’t hold back a smile when he saw that delightful blush creep across his mate’s face. That’s what he wanted to see, his beautiful blushing boy. His grin only grows at Syx’s response.
“I can’t speak for what either of you want,” he says, still beaming. “But I know what I want. I want you,” he says looking up at Wayne from where his is still curled alongside his mate, “and I want you.” Now he looks up at Syx. “Preferably naked and at the same time but I’m flexible on the timeline and the details.”
He slipped from under Wayne’s arm to stand in front of his mate. He doesn’t mind if Syx hears this, but now he needs to talk directly to his husband.
“I love our sex life, I really do. One of the things I love most about it is that you’ve never tried to force me to be something I’m not. I love that you let me take the lead in bed. But I like to sub occasionally, and you don’t know how to dom. If Syx is willing to show you the ropes, quite literally, I think it would be good for both of us. Just like with Lady. I would love to have that chance to explore this with someone of my own species…. but I don’t want to move forward unless you’re on board, baby. It doesn’t have to be today, just like when we were first starting out.” He reaches out to lace his fingers in with Wayne’s, showing off his dazzling diamond ring. His mate has his heart and soul and no sexual encounter is worth hurting the person he loves most. “You’re worth waiting for.”
[As is often the case, Harrison’s crass and blase way of discussing delicate subjects leaves Wayne just that much more flustered. He rubs the back of his neck and gives his next words a tad more thought than his mate had.] I… am at least interested in trying things once to see how compatible we are all together. As for letting Syx teach me that…
[He squeezes his husband’s hand. The thought of submitting to a Megamind or even obeying one both makes him weak in the knees and at the same time makes him want to fight tooth and nail for the right.] We will have to see if it works.
Harrison’s direct forwardness drew a blush to Syx’s cheeks as well. One hand lowered over his groin nervously at the mention of naked at the same time. Sipping on his cocoa until the two were down he fidgeted, finally blurting out, “I feel I should add, in case it’s relevant? That I’m not… built?” he bit his lip, forcing out, “…like your husband is. Like humans are. At all.”
“Anyway!” he pressed on, full of nervous energy, “Seeing how it works will be highly essential. Trust being a major factor in all such endeavors,” especially since Harrison was making him sound far more experienced than he was, “Start small and build the anticipation?”
Flashing a wide grin at the pair to cover his own nerves, yet there was excitement building in his eyes as well. The possibilities were endlessly wonderful if this did work out.
Syx had woken up from that nightmare again. It had gotten more frequent since his break up with Wayne. The stress, he was sure. Making sure not to wake Anna, Syx slipped out of bed and headed into the workshop. He needed a distraction. What he got was…
He made a high-pitched distressed noise in the back of his throat, beginning to hyperventilate. The void had come to swallow him whole.
It was getting much easier to keep up to speed with the blue being the more they interacted. Finding herself learning on the speed of mortals as her time around them continued.
At his question, she turned slowly and gazed at the new expression on his face, feeling better that it wasn’t fear.
“Space is, a part of me. Yes.” Celestialess said slowly, sinking to the ground in a sitting position, but still hovering just above the concrete.
“Part of space? How is that even possible?” reaching out, Megamind’s hand hovered near her and found himself murmuring, “…tell me your secrets space woman…”
It had been so long since he’d seen the stars like that. The trip, for all its trauma, had been magical as well. Space fascinated him more than anything and his deepest wish was to see the stars from space again at least once. Now that the panic at seeing her was starting to fade to manageable levels, curiosity took over.
Pulling back, Megamind raised a brow at her, even if she couldn’t see him, “Why Miss Ritchi, is it that hard to figure out? I always considered you smart enough to figure it out for yourself.”
“How boring would one of the banal sheeple of Metrocity be, right? Sure Metro Mahn would save anyone I kidnapped,” Megamind waved a hand in the air, “He IS a hero after all, but you’re his girlfriend, and far more entertaining.”
As a side note, he added, “Besides, family is off limit. I thought you’d figured that out like the timeout rule.”
Roxanne would cross her arms again if not for the rope binding them. “You shouldn’t think of them like that, you know. Any one citizen can be just as interesting and engaging as me, if you get to know them. But can see how that might be difficult with a reputation like yours.” She chews her lip for a couple minutes as the car starts, calculating a risk carefully.
“I’m not actually- Well. If I were Metro Man’s girlfriend, wouldn’t I be just as off-limits as his family?” While Roxanne had promised to do more pieces on those same ‘banal sheeple’ of Metro City, she still can’t help but try to pry deeper into Megamind’s psyche, trying to figure out his underlying motivations. Even if it means risking her not-so-well-kept secret. “If Wayne actually cared about me personally, like everyone seems to think, you’d… Probably be dead by now.”
“Now Miss Ritchi,” Megamind tutted after getting into the driver side of the car, “You’re part of the game, a highly essential component,” he huffed, not really wanting to explain.
Starting the engine, it purring to life, he grumbled, “Besides I started kidnapping you before he took an interest in you. Therefore my claim takes precedence,” glaring at her as he pulled out into the street he added, “Besides, he always saves you before you’ve received any bodily harm.”
Ignore the fact that he had a million safety catches in place and most of the traps only looked dangerous. Ignore that his brain bots were programmed to be non-hostile to her and prevent danger. Ignore that he activity stopped plans when they put her or other citizens in actual danger. It looked dangerous and destroyed property and that was the whole point. But Metro Man saved the day and he went back to prison and Roxanne got her story and the city turned. A comforting routine.
One which Roxanne seemed determined to poke holes in today! Much to his frustration, he quipped, “Why mess with a good thing and try and learn someone new?”
“Stealings bad even if you don’t get caught,” Megamind explained holding up a finger, “But not getting caught is the most important part.”
As she posed, he couldn’t help the grin that spread on his face, “And is the little villainess does get caught, the other important thing is knowing how to get out of a pair of handcuffs.”
“They don’t fit on me. They falls off and go claaannggg on the floor. Claaanngg.” The child was making hand gestures and noises. “I’m gonna stealed a donut from the donut house and…eat it! Donuts have holes in them cause….that is where their mouths are.”
Megamind pulled up short, blinking down at the small child? a hand drawing up to his chest as he peered dow at her. Black cape pulled around him, the blue man rocked back on his heels, “My! Aren’t you interesting!”
“Megamind, Criminal Genius and Master of all Villainy,” he boasted with a smirk, “And I’m deplorably bad, which is good. For the sake of bad.”

“Yes, they are certainly delicious…” Megamind smiled, humoring the girl. Minion was far better at this sort of thing, he was right back to feeling awkward.
