so let’s say you’re a big fan of transformers so obviously you don’t want to blacklist #transformers, and you’ve got this cool friend kyle, but every single time kyle posts or reblogs something about transformers it’s just… it’s garbage. it’s a Bad Post. he has bad opinions and he should feel bad. you know that it’s petty shit but it irritates you every time you see one of his bad, bad transformers posts. but most of what he posts is awesome! you don’t wanna unfollow his ass! so you make a tumblr servant instead and even if he doesn’t tag shit about shit, if the word ‘transformers’ is in the post at all you will never see it. peace is restored on your dash. you are free.
you can also do a lot of other shit like dim posts or highlight posts or give you notifications etc etc etc but i mostly just hide Bad Fandom Opinions because i’m petty
So tumblr staff, for some unknown reason (?????) decided to put a ban on what they call “Sensitive Content.”
This would be fine if it ACTUALLY RESTRICTED SENSITIVE CONTENT. None of the nasty blogs following me are restricted at all, but other, totally SFW posts are???
Like, so far I’ve seen a video of a turtle, gifs of a kpop star blowing a kiss and waving, and a moodboard with some lesbians on it (not kissing, not naked, just laying there, being lesbians) all restricted by this sensitive content thing.
So, here is one way for you to view sensitive content on browser (sorry mobile, I can’t help you)
1. First, go to chrome (idk how you do this on safari)
2. Go to tumblr, obviously
3. Right click on the blue part of the screen and click Inspect
4. This thing will pop up some where on your screen! Cool!
5. See that bottom part with all the red, angry text? Look down there and click on the gear (settings symbol) in the upper right hand corner
6. A box appears! Click the 🚫 button and uncheck the box labeled Autocomplete from history (not necessarily in that order)
7. Reload the page and enjoy your content!
You should be good after that (if you still find restricted posts, try pressing the 🚫 button again and reloading page again.

I know this time of year is really hard for everybody.. and I would never, ever ask for money unless it was incredibly important. I’m not entirely willing to go into full detail, but do know this. I would never ask somebody to send me money, without putting as much effort as I could into earning what I get. Because of that, I am offering a few things, as I ask for help. This is incredibly humbling for me, and it took me a lot of thought, and a lot of swallowing my own pride in order to do this.. even if you just consider it, it would mean the world to me.

OKAY! So, I spent some time of my childhood in an abusive household. My Step-father used to physically, and verbally assault me and my mom. He worked in IT, and he put tracking software on ALL of our computers, and phones.
AND when we were in danger, and tried to call the authorities, he’d take all of the phones away.. People don’t realize how scary and powerless abuse can make a person feel until it happens to you.

Recently found out we’re going to need to do car repairs to both of our vehicles totalling about $900.
Replacing a water pump, a water inverter pump, and getting a tune up for the Prius because it’s misfiring. Already got a new 12v battery for $200.
Getting a new tire, new tie rod end caps, and the alignment fixed on the Buick. The AC doesn’t work and two of the windows won’t roll down/the power locks don’t work, but we can live with that.
Saving for a vacation in late October that we’ve planned for over a year. Had to use what we had saved for that for car repairs. We’re visiting Texas to see where we would like to move next year/see family and friends in the area.
Still need to pay my student loan and doctor’s bills.
As a side note, both my husband and I work full time, so we have food and can scrape together rent, but this has already blown through our savings and our credit card just getting the damned things diagnosed and the first round of repairs done. We had new shocks dropped into the Buick in early spring and were in the process of saving up to get the alignment redone/the other repairs to it after that when catastrophic failure hit our Prius. The front tire on the Buick is flat because it had to be driven on bad alignment and fucked up that tire real good in the sidewall. We need at least once vehicle in good working order since I drive about 20 minutes to and from work 5 days a week. Van can walk if he needs to, but come winter it’s not as easy an option.
We are going to get a second opinion on the cost of the repairs from a trusted mechanic, but we had to take it to the dealership first because some of the parts are proprietary evidently and we may not be able to get them elsewhere.
So. If you ever wanted me to do an art for you now is the time to ask because I really need the money. It’s also really embarrassing that I have to ask and I don’t want anyone to feel pressured to donate, so I understand the ‘would if I could’ sentiment, I really do. Please consider signal boosting if you can.
