Syx had woken up from that nightmare again. It had gotten more frequent since his break up with Wayne. The stress, he was sure. Making sure not to wake Anna, Syx slipped out of bed and headed into the workshop. He needed a distraction. What he got was…

He made a high-pitched distressed noise in the back of his throat, beginning to hyperventilate. The void had come to swallow him whole.

It was getting much easier to keep up to speed with the blue being the more they interacted. Finding herself learning on the speed of mortals as her time around them continued.

At his question, she turned slowly and gazed at the new expression on his face, feeling better that it wasn’t fear.

“Space is, a part of me. Yes.” Celestialess said slowly, sinking to the ground in a sitting position, but still hovering just above the concrete.

“Part of space? How is that even possible?” reaching out, Megamind’s hand hovered near her and found himself murmuring, “…tell me your secrets space woman…”

It had been so long since he’d seen the stars like that. The trip, for all its trauma, had been magical as well. Space fascinated him more than anything and his deepest wish was to see the stars from space again at least once. Now that the panic at seeing her was starting to fade to manageable levels, curiosity took over.

Syx swallowed and keyed up the main door they used to exit the large bots through. At least the ceilings here were tall, but he still eyed her hair nervously, “I… just don’t want you to… swallow anything I love.”

His voice was barely over a whisper. Desperately he tried not to picture the hole that had swallowed his entire childhood.

Too late she had realised that there was trauma in this being’s life.

Something that related to her. Or at least, what she was. Celestialess wished she could take it back, but all she could do now was leave.

“I will not.” She finally promises, waiting until there was an exit big enough for her before looking for guidance to exit.

Nodding, Syx let his shoulders relax slightly, “Good, good.”

As he watched her leave, he finally let himself marvel at her appearance. She was gorgeous really. As he let his eyes fall into the depth of her ‘skin’ he saw things he hadn’t since he’d been a small child. The stars, unhindered by the atmosphere of a planet…

Whistful, he wondered, “Are you really… made of space?”

“Ah… yes… well… that makes sense?” Syx’s wide green eyes where still glued to where the bomb had been. A hand pressed firmly over his hammering heart, he stood on unsteady feet and eased backwards, “T-this way.”

Celestialess followed along obediently, now holding her hair in against herself as much as she could and mutedly observed the curious blue creature in her own time.

He was very scared, it seemed. She didn’t want that. Perhaps a promise of never coming back?

“…I will try not to get… Displaced in your habitat again…” The celestial being tried softly.

Syx swallowed and keyed up the main door they used to exit the large bots through. At least the ceilings here were tall, but he still eyed her hair nervously, “I… just don’t want you to… swallow anything I love.”

Syx thought his heart was going to jump out of his chest as he watched the cloud of black, pinks, and oranges that were her hair swallow the old bomb. Sinking to the floor, he just stared in horror, shocked to even be alive.

“You… boom…” a hysterical laugh leaked out of him as he tried to regain control of his functions.

Registering that something had blown up in her hair finally, Celestialess tried to sink lower to the ground, reaching up and trying to gather he gaseous hair with a small amount of difficulty. Eventually she had it mostly pulled around her form and not waving off in all directions.

“….Apologies. I don’t feel my hair… Like I do my physical form…”

“Ah… yes… well… that makes sense?” Syx’s wide green eyes where still glued to where the bomb had been. A hand pressed firmly over his hammering heart, he stood on unsteady feet and eased backwards, “T-this way.”

Eyes wide Syx cried out as he watched her floating hair eat half a bomb, “Aah, watch out!”

He held up his hands, torn between stopping her and urging her to exit faster.

Celestialess of course, didn’t react until the bomb was engulfed in her hair.

A second later, a small, dull pop would sound from her hair, and a brighter light shine inside of it but other than that, no destructive explosion would come forth.

Finally stopping, she lifts her hands and doesn’t touch anything. That she could help.

“…What…?”

The way she? it? looked around had Syx scrambling up, “You want to leave? Okay okay oh-kay!”

Not taking his eyes off of her, Syx backed up towards the large doors he got his mechs in and out of, “T-this way?”

“Yes. Thankyou.” She bows her head slightly and as Syx backs away she notices he was heading towards doors.

Ah, perfect!

Floating along, following him, she does her best to duck out of the way of anything hanging, unfortunately if it got caught in her hair it was done for. Being nine feet tall and floating wasn’t a good combination for being inside anywhere, building or otherwise.

Eyes wide Syx cried out as he watched her floating hair eat half a bomb, “Aah, watch out!”

“Lost?” Syx echoed, sucking in a panicky breath, “W-where are you… supposed to be?”

If it wanted to leave he, by all means, would find a way to let it.

Looking around slowly, making that wavy hair flow around her and the air more, Celestialess looks back at Syx to eventually answer, “….Unsure….But, not here…”

She then began to look up, down, around a bit more. Spinning slowly on the spot as she tried to look for an exit. There wasn’t even any indication she’d come through anywhere considering there was no gaping hole in any wall surrounding them.

The way she? it? looked around had Syx scrambling up, “You want to leave? Okay okay oh-kay!”

Nearly hyperventilating, Syx and backed up into a corner, back pressed against a wall. It was bad enough with the t h i n g just staring at him. Then it spoke. It was hard to even process what it said.

The sounds it made, how slowly, all when his heart was beating for fast and loud in his ears.

Finally, he croaked out, “Wha- what?!”

Unfortunately for Syx, he wouldn’t get a reply very quickly, Celestialess just hovering there as she caught up with what was said and took the time she needed to respond.

“ … I’m….Lost….”

Celestialess wasn’t any happier being here than Syx was having her here, but she couldn’t really leave without causing damage. As it was, her glowing, gaseous hair was already searing through things it touched or got near to, no matter how she tried to keep it from spreading out.

To think what would be done if she just let herself float her way out through a wall. Utter destruction. She needed a door opened for her. A big one, preferably.

“Lost?” Syx echoed, sucking in a panicky breath, “W-where are you… supposed to be?”

She floated there, in the middle of the room.

A nine foot tall figure of a woman made of pure black. The void, like Syx was panicking over.

Although, inside of her form could be seen space itself, galaxies, nebulae, stars aplenty, and the hair that flowed from her perceived head was gaseous, brilliant hues of blue, pink and yellow all swirling about her and giving off the smell of a sweet rum.

The figure didn’t move, or even blink it’s eyes, which were a glowing red in the mass of black on her face, even as Syx had his crisis. Just floated, a dull rushing sound like wind? Perhaps. It came from her as well.

—-

Celestialess was having a hard time catching up to what was going on around her.

She had been moving from one place to another one second, and in somewhere she hadn’t been planning on the next.

Then a blue humanoid thing had come in, zipping about like a fast little, well, everything was fast to her, and it was taking a long time for her to realise that this being wasn’t breathing properly. Was it sick?

What was it that Al had taught her… There was so much, but she latched onto what he’d said might help her not be seen as a threat.

Very slowly, Celestialess blinked and brought her hands up, holding them up at her chest and showing her palms (not that there was much to see) and after ten seconds, her blink was complete and a loud, static sound began to come from her, as well as a multi-toned and multi-layered voice, predominantly feminine.

“ I Mean….No…. Harm….. Are you alright?” She asks, taking at least half a minute to communicate.

Nearly hyperventilating, Syx and backed up into a corner, back pressed against a wall. It was bad enough with the t h i n g just staring at him. Then it spoke. It was hard to even process what it said.
