Roxanne frowned thoughtfully at Harrison and took another bite of donut, “I’m sure they are… they’re just…” acting different. The thought that the Megamind that spoke to her a few weeks ago wasn’t her Megs… it upset her more than she wanted to admit. Grabbing onto the other topic, “Oh man, yeah after the twenty-sixth kidnapping it was starting to get hard to keep it fresh. God does he try, though. The banter all starts to blur together… sort of like a really familiar movie? But the things he makes?” she sighed, a nostalgic smile on her face, “That and getting him all worked up.”
“Are you sure that it’s your Wayne and your Megamind though?” Harrison presses. “I’m not trying to make you feel crazy, but with multiples it can be easy to make that mistake. I’ve known my husband’s nemesis off the court so to say for years, and yet when a new Megamind came to burgle a business I was patronizing, I thought he was my Megamind. It might be worth it to double check. You’ll find that while there is a lot of similarity, each of us blue men is unique and there are distinct differences. For example my Megamind and the newest one in town have totally different numbering systems for their brainbots. They also have very different attitudes towards crime and territoriality in Metro City. And I’ve known Waynes that are true heroes, and ones that are frankly kind of dicks.”
He gestures with his hand, thinking of Syx’s possessive lover and Wendolyn. “At the very least its a chance to get to know some new people.”
“Brain bot numbering system? How would I…” Roxanne paled a bit, did she even know her Megamind well enough to know him from a double? She wanted to believe yes… but…
Shaking her head, she focused on Wayne instead, “It has to still be my Wayne. Even if he hasn’t wanted to have a movie night in ages…”
