Bell looked between Lucy and the bike, “Well fine then! But it’s not nearly as fun to walk.”

She pouted a bit, having been looking forward to showing off her bike first, but the excitement of seeing this hover bike negated a lot of that. Not wanting to leave her bike out in the open for what now was seeming to turn into more of a thing than the smash and grab that had been the original plan for the day, Bell wheeled her bike around. Planning to park it in Lucy’s garage.

“Alright! Reveal this mystery onto me!“

It’s with a wide grin that Lucy holds a hand up. “Give me a minute, okay?” She had to get things ready for that, make sure revealing her own bike was pulled off the way she wanted.

“It won’t be long, promise.” Opening one of the doors for Bell to drive her bike in wouldn’t take very long, and once it’s done Lucy’s already hurrying to make sure the lights are off.

❝Okay, okay, oh K-aye,❞ Bell huffed, bouncing on her toes, anticipation building, ❝But I’m expecting something Awe-mazing!❞

She stopped and waited as told knowing full well how important presentation was. Timing and location was everything and she wanted the full experience. Still, she was far too full of energy to stand still, swaying on her feet as she scanned the darkness for the sign that the reveal was coming.

“I-” Bell narrowed her eyes at Lucy, “Noooooo… no you DIDN’T! I haven’t gotten the balance figured out yet! It kept corkscrewing anytime I got above 10 feet!” she turned to the other girl, practically vibrating, “Tell me you didn’t! Hooooooooow?! You gotta shooooow meeeeeeeee.”

She grabbed Lucy’s shoulder and steered her to get on the bike, swinging onto it herself, “Come on, come on come on! I gotta see it too!”

Digging her heels in, the teenager is laughing anyway, resisting getting on Bell’s bike. “My place is next door, you don’t need to worry about that,” she explains through laughter, pointing to what looks like a storage warehouse more than within walking distance.

“It’s inside.” Thank god for the large doors she could use to get in and out while on the bike.

Belle bounced on her toes, “It’s sweet, right?” she clapped her hands together, gladly gloating over one of her pride and joys, “It’s an YZF-R1, an ‘06. Normally they only got a 172 hp crank but I rebuilt most of this from scratch and got it up to 190. Better suspension and rear stabilization too. I could own a race in this bad girl,” she patted the side of the bike lovingly, “I gave it a metallic electron blue pearlescent paint. It’s also equiped with the de-regulator and a earlier vision of the invisibility generator for evading the cops. They always insist that 120 mph is too fast,“ she laughed.

Checking over the bike one last time to get a closer look at the paint job, Lucy looks away and toward the older blue woman with a wide smirk. “It’s a great bike. If you like being stuck on the street,” she trails off, dropping that little lure to see if Bell would pick it up.

“I’m not your sidekick!” Lucy is quick to remind, stumbling along behind Bluebell as she’s tugged forward. “Wait, Lair?”

She was going to get to go to one of those, now? Her reluctance is almost completely gone by now, letting Bluebell take the lead.

“Well I can’t be the sidekick,” Bell huffed, “I’m older than you. That’d be silly.”

Leading the way back to her bike, she suddenly lit up, “OH! We could be a league! Aaahh, but you can’t have a league with only two members,” slowing to a halt, she crossed her arms and scowled at the ground next to her bike, tapping her foot rhythmically, “Alliance? Duo? Dastardly Glitter Twins? See this is why sidekick worked better.”

Lucy’s protests from earlier die quickly at the sight of Bell’s bike, focusing on that more than the other’s continued musing over what to call her. “What kind is it?” the teen asks suddenly, examining the machine as closely as she could.

Already caught by the mention of glow in the dark makeup, Lucy jumps at the chance. “Fiiine.”

Stretching the word out, she’s doing her best to look more reluctant than she feels.

“Woooo!” Bluebell jumped excitedly and lunged forward to grab Lucy’s hand, “Come on, sidekick!”

Her smile lit her entire face, green eyes sparkling, “Come on, come on, comeon! Stop being a slowpoke!” she tugged on her hand before giving her a chance to speak, “Everything is back at the Lair.”

“What do you think it means?” she shoots back, letting Bluebell talk herself out. It’s glow in the dark that catches Lucy’s attention, though, the prospect piquing her interest. “What kind of glow in the dark?”

Bell rolled her eyes, “All the kinds, obviously. Lipstick, eyeshadow, glitter, nail polish,” she rattled off.

A smirk drew up her lips and she bounced on her toes seeing the other girl get excited, “Coooome ooooooon! You have to let me do your makeup!”

“Hey,” Bell pouted, crossing her arms stubornly, “What’s that supposed to mean?” she arched a brow at the younger girl, “And look at your makeup and then look at mine. Your presentation is horrible.”

Clapping her hands together as she returned to bouncing, “But I have all sorts of stuff back at Evil Lair! Glitter in every shade you can dream of! Even glow and the dark makeup! I haven’t found a use for it in costume much, it sort of defeats the point of sneaking and I never fight Metro Chick in the dark… but damn it would be cool,” she rambled, getting distracted again.

“Oh come ooooon,” Bluebell whined, “you gotta! It would be so cool! I’ve never had a sidekick before!” she bounced in place with far too much energy, “And you obviously just don’t know how, which is why you need a teacher!” she posed dramatically, pointing to herself.

“Can see why,” Lucy mumbles, watching Bluebell bouncing in place. “Who says I need a teacher?” she asks next, looking stubborn now.

Bluebell tipped her head at Lucy, confused, “Of course it can’t be both,” she made little circular hand motions as she tried to articulate her logic, “If it’s your workshop then it’s yours. He can’t pay yourself to work in it!”

She put her hands on her hips and turned to face Lucy fully, “You aren’t much of a villain, are you?”

“Says you.” It could be both, and was. At least, that was the way Lucy saw it. Even if it wasn’t really all that evil. She looks taken aback by Bluebell’s sudden question, drawing up short.

“Huh?”

“I mean look at you! Your makeup is lackluster, not nearly enough metal or flashy bits, and your witty banter is sub-par,” Bell ticked off on her fingers, “It’s like you ain’t even trying.”

“Oh! I’ve never had a girlfriend before!” she paused, “I mean like a friend and not a dating thing, I have one of those,” she flapped her hand and waved her misstep off, “English is stupid. But that’s not the point! I could do your makeup and you could like… be my teen side-kick! Like an evil Batman and Robin!”

Letting Bluebell talk herself out, there’s a look of utter confusion on the teen’s face at the older blue woman’s offer. And accidental phrasing. “How’s that my fault?” she mutters, that same look still on her face thanks to the way she’d phrased the last comment.
