“How many of you does one city need?” Rockatoo grouses, slipping into Spanish rather than English for the complaint.

“Tha’ gonna be your problem, isn’ i’? Considerin’ ya migh’ end up workin’ wi’ him anyway, ya may as well try an’ make sure i’ goes goo’ firs’.” Ignoring the initial comment, knowing that she had been purposely stubborn, Rockatoo goes straight for what she felt was the truth.

“I don’t need to work with him or you. This was a courtesy I extended that you’ve done nothing but disrespect. If this is the way you conduct your affairs, I don’t know why I’d want anything to do with you.”

“You’re utter nonsense and obstinance is making me want to have nothing to do with you or your husband,” frankly, if she kept it up he was likely going to be rather creatively prankful in the future. Whatever her intention, she was earning herself an enemy.

“I find it preferable to henchmen. The term is hardly accurate,” Minion chuckled, “It means I’m the muscle so to speak,” he flexed his robotic bulk. He’d spent so long in various large suits that he’d grown to think of them as an extension of himself. As much who he was as his own scales.

“Do you fish here too?” he bobbed in his tank, “The area seems quite good for it from the haul I’ve been pulling in so far,” he never netted one place for long. Both to avoid suspicion and overfishing.

He blinks, licking lightly at the back of his teeth. “Li’ here,” Azlariel admits. “Yez, hunt here.” Not quite the same phrasing Minion had used, but closer to the truth in his mind. The strength implied with that suit still has him cautious, wary of venturing closer than he already is. Finding it difficult to get a proper read on the being he was talking to.

Looking Azlariel up and down, Minion mused, “You breathe in and out of water just as easily?” he eyed the interesting looking gills the being had, “That must come in handy! Not that I could operate without my suit regardless.”

“Still it’s not often I meet another water based sentient. Actually never,” he laughed with a grin filled with very sharp teeth, “Would you be interested in joining me for a meal? I wasn’t going to eat until I got back to Evil Lair, but there’s hardly any harm in it,” besides, Sir would be busy for hours yet and Anna no longer needed him after she’s come back into her own, “I can share my catch.”

Feathers and Spikes

Brows raising, she honestly looks surprised hearing that. “Well, I would hope so, having several years of practice!” Though it was strange to hear that from Roxanne, and it doesn’t take Megamind that much longer to clue in to a potential reason why. Glancing down again toward the woman’s hands in order to confirm that particular suspicion.

Another new one? Well then.

Noticing Megamind’s eyes drawn to her hands, Roxanne held them up and looked them over in confusion. An eyebrow raised in silent questions after finding nothing strange. Finally it clicks, “Oh! Oh sorry! You thought I was-” she put a hand over her mouth and chuckled in embarrassment, “Afraid not. Mine’s male.”

That explained quite a bit, including the reaction the woman she was talking to had on arriving at first. Even distracted, Megamind had been able to pick up on that. “Unfortunate.” she can’t help but tease. “This all must be a surprise, then.”

“It was quite a shock when I was told to come down here to report on Megamind,” Roxanne laughed easily, “I’ve never seen the action from this angle,” she looked demurely at the heroine, “It was a pleasant change of pace.”

Blood and Bonding

“Ha! Good thing too fuzz brain, you’d-” Syx grunted under her weight “-a horrible hero.”

“NOPE!” he shouted at the wall of fire appeared, “That is essential for the escape plan. Even if my damn tool went and got herself shot, I still need you,” he certainly wasn’t going to admit any sort of feelings toward the woman.

He blamed his biology. The sex had screwed everything up in his head. It was less that he’d stopped hating her and more that… he couldn’t picture his life without her a part of it. She was his now, for better or worse.

Tightening his arms around her side, Syx took a deep breath and readied himself, “Alright, buckle up and here we go!”

Dragging her with him, Syx took her good arm and wielded her finger like a gun, knowing full well that wasn’t how that worked but the guards didn’t. Pointing their hands at a hall to the side, he said, “Bang!”

“Ah, fuck you!” She spat out as he called her a tool. She wouldn’t dare admit to him that him dismissing her as something so low wounded her, and more than just her pride. That was easily ignored.. or at least for the most part. Damn it!! Why did things have to be so damn complicated.

She did her best to keep herself moving along with him, the blood from her wound trailing down her body, soaking her clothing that they had put her in. If she would have thought further on the actions they were doing, she probably would have laughed..

As it was, his exclamation was accompanied by a flurry of flames from their hands, though they didn’t burn him in the slightest. It was more difficult without her usual motions, took more concentration.. but it succeeded. The guards yelled out in fear, trying to use their mob shields to protect themselves.. only to have it burn. Emma kept the flames from burning the fools themselves, but it would at least keep them at bay.

It was far less that Syx thought of her as a tool, then it was to mask feelings he hardly wanted to acknowledge himself. The flash of hurt he smelled on her, he quickly tried to bury. There was no time to consider such things while they fought for their freedom.

With the guards distracted by the flames, he pulled her down another corridor. One free blocked gates. His inside man having done his job. Considering the high risk the officer took, Syx would have to compensate him well, his job and more would be lost if he was caught. With the way clear, they entered the office wing. With the ease of memory, he pulled them into the Warden’s office. He would know the way blindfolded.

“We have to be fast. This is going to burn this method in the future. Your bleeding everywhere will let Warden know we were here,” he complained as he dumped Lyn on the couch were daddy had read his stories when he was little. Reaching up he pulled loose the picture of the Metro City Lighthouse to reveal the hidden safe. Within was hidden an item that Warden had confiscated a decade ago. Warden didn’t think his son knew about the stash, but he did. Just saving it for an emergency.

“Keep an eye out,” he ordered as he started cracking the safe.

“Trick or treat,” Dana said.

“Oh, what are you doing out this far little Miss? We don’t get trick-or-treaters out here.”

Actually, unless you count that witch that had dropped by one year, they’d never gotten any to the Evil Lair. Still, Minion was always prepared.

“Just a moment!” he returned shortly with a tray of cookies, offering them to the girl, “And what are you tonight?”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Dana, shall we get you home?”

Dana held his hand and nodded.
“Yes!”

Offering his hand to her, Minion asked, “So where is home?”

Minion perked up with the other beings response, “You are a person! I’ve never run into much out in the lake before, which always confused me considering the historical rumors around the lake, but Sir always says-”

Oh, he was doing it again. He really was horrible at the villainous secrets thing. Minion was just far too helpful of a fish.

“-Anyway, Minion, hench-fish extraordinaire,” he informed the new being, “You?”

“Vink zo?” Interesting, hearing that from someone he wasn’t familiar with, but in this case Azlariel supposed it made sense.

Which most of that speech, in his opinion, didn’t entirely, but he was able to keep up with it, mulling the information over while answering. “Azlariel.” he answers shortly, taking a chance to carefully examine the stranger. “Hench-‘izh?” is his question after that, trying his best to pronounce the term correctly.

“Hey!” Bluebell shouted, watching the dragon try and escape. Freeing her de-gun in a smooth motion she pointed it at the fleeing dragon, “Didn’t your mother ever tell you it’s bad for your health to say no to a super villain?”

She put on her Megamind voice, giving him a good evil laugh as she squeezed the trigger on the dehydration setting to turn him into a little blue cube.

He wanted to shout back at her that technically speaking his mother was kinda super villain so her statement was invalid, but then he got turned into a blue cube. That was startling!

The little cube clinked over the pavement, bouncing a bit before settling down for a second and then… with burst of white light Sator was free out of it! He shook his head and bared his teeth at Bluebell. “She sure told me what to do with crazy hoots like you!” he growled inhaling deeply into his lungs and sending a gust of wind at her.

“What?” Bell balked as the dragon reappeared from the cube, “That’s cheating!” though she didn’t get long to protest before the wind hit her. Tumbling over and fighting for balance, she tumbled end over end before getting into a crouch braced against the wind long enough to fire off another shot.

“Hi! I’m Dana!” A tiny alien smiled up at him. “How are you?!”

Megamind pulled up short, blinking down at the small child? a hand drawing up to his chest as he peered dow at her. Black cape pulled around him, the blue man rocked back on his heels, “My! Aren’t you interesting!”

“Megamind, Criminal Genius and Master of all Villainy,” he boasted with a smirk, “And I’m deplorably bad, which is good. For the sake of bad.”

The child hugged his waist and looked up at him with those big eyes.
“Are you a super hero?”

Megamind blinked at her, “Did… did you not catch the Master of Villainy part of the title?”

“I may be super, but that is SUPER VILLAIN!”

Childish Escape

|| @1000liveslived || Bluebell and Lyn || age 15 ||

Bluebell was starving and things were not AT ALL going as planned. Chewing on her lower lip, she glared at the store window as she pulled the oversized hoodie up more. Minion was back at their Evil Lair, a cool abandoned firehouse they’d found, and was getting everything set up for sleeping accommodations. Bell was supposed to be getting supplies.

They’d been away from home for two days now. It was the longest they’d ever run away for. But two days meant all the food she’d brought with was gone. And that meant having to deal with people. In the sweater pocket, she closed her hand over the small de-gun and squared her shoulders.

Chin up, cock out. Walk like you’re going to put a boot up someone’s ass. She psyched herself up, walking with purpose. Now was time to man up or shut up, and Bluebell was going to prove that everyone needed to take her seriously as Megamind! She was a villainess and damn well she wasn’t going to starve to death just because no one wanted to sell food to the blue freak.

Lyn was old enough to basically have run of the entire area her and her Father lived in, though generally Jim knew what it was she was out doing, she let herself wander around far too much to fully keep him updated on whatever she was doing. Right now? She was in a store aimlessly wandering around as she tried to figure out just what it was that caught her interest to snack on, humming as her tail swayed behind her idly.

She normally wouldn’t have spared anything or anybody a second glance, but when the person wore a hood up, blue skin beneath the shadows of it and their posture one of aggression? You bet your ass it would catch her interest. Pale blue eyes watched the figure, one ebony ear turning back as she did so.

De-gun set to de-stroy, Bluebell shot the camera in the corner of the shop and then swung the gun to the cashier. As she moved the gun, her thub hit the barrel turning the setting from de-stroy to de-hydrate, “Don’t even think about it! Hands in the air!”

“Goes for you too blondie!” Bell shouted, looking at the other girl in the corner of her vision, “Everything in the store is now property of Megamind! If you have a safe, your going to open it right now. Cash drawer too.”

As soon as everything was opened, she’d de-hydrate them both and bag everything she could. Which would be a lot once everything was little blue cubes. The other bonus for this neighborhood is that the cops would take their sweet time showing up.Â
