Megamind listened from where he was, crammed inside of a hole that was dug by brainbots into the wall. He barely had enough room to breath, but he snorted. He Must be closer then he thought to another cell, “Yeah, good luck with that.”

“If, ugh, you can get out so easily, then why are you still here?” Syx nearly popped his arm out of joint as he fought to make room for his large head. Curse his giant blue head, “I’ve been escaping from this prison for three decades. I know what I’m doing.”

The alicorn shrugged. “Dunno. Guess ‘s jus’ too easy fer me.” She rose a brow at is final remark. “Sure don’ sound like it. Jus’ lemme know where ya are.” She had a slight idea to where he was, but she couldn’t really be sure until he mentioned it. “Jus’ lemme help ya.”

“It’s too easy so you haven’t bothered to escape?” Megamind snorted, “Right, I tell you where I am and suddenly I’m surrounded by guards. Fat chance.”

How many of you does one city need?” Rockatoo grouses, slipping into Spanish rather than English for the complaint.

@syx-blue

Megamind rolled his head dramatically, finally going back to Spanish, “And why should I take you seriously per se?”

Now I know you aren’t as stupid as you act.”

Swinging down from his perch, Megamind landed with a roll into a crouch. Standing he straightened and brushed himself off, “I act to match my opposition,” he replied cheekily, “Miss…?”

Syx wasn’t much for seduction. Not that he didn’t understand it, but the first approach felt nearly impossible. So he fell back to what he always did to get another’s attention. He built a thing. In this case a floating bot, dark metal and trailing gossamer ribbons like a decorative tail. It hovered and spun in an odd little dance around the brooding man that had caught Syx’s eye.

“And what do we have here?” Zagam’s eyes widened in surprise, first wary, to see a strange artefact floating around him, but relaxed immediatly when noticed it was just trying to call his attention, thing that did succesfully. His gaze soon moved towards the blue man that for one second he thoug might be Mr. Drake. It wasn’t him, of course. The colony was not the same neither the energy. Another blue man?
Zagam flashed him a charming smile leaning forward on his chair, there is the resting area of the exhibition. “Pretty artefact you have here. Is it yours?” He asks with playfully interest.

Green eyes snapped up to meet Zagam’s full of angry defiance before he wilted with a sigh, “Not this city. Mine… my universe… that one I did control… at least most of,” he sighed deeply and frowned.

“I could send out brain bots and giant mechs. I could cut divots through the city with an orbital laser and devastate everything,” he turned to the man who seemed so focused on war as the only viable option for control, “But what would that get me? Rule over chaos and a city in ruin with now central power or stability. No means of production.”

Rolling his eyes, Syx continued, “I may be a villain but I have no desire to recreate Mad Max. I don’t go for the post-apocalyptic hard on so many people seem to have.”

Remembering the man’s offhanded comment, Syx held up his chin, “And I don’t belong to anyone, they belong to me,” the man may be cute, but there was no way he wanted him to get the wrong impression on that front. Syx in no way trusted him.

“Your City must be all a paradise then, if you have the need to. And trust me. Hell manage war pretty well but also stability. The war brings fear and fear the control. But that’s is out King’s job. We’re more like an unit. one from millions. I still wish to see your mechas…Even if I don’t understand that MadMax? concept? is it a concept, right?” No, he doesnt know much about movies.-

“keep the pride up. I like that” he winks at Syx playfully, until he sees in the distance the Museum.

Syx tipped his head as he contemplated the man next to him, “What you describe sounds like a nation at constant war. War and standing armies drains resources at an alarming rate. It creates a war machine that must always be conquering so as to fill its coffers. An empire that will crumble if it ever loses it’s king or fails to gather the resources to continue to supply its military units,” Syx shook his head as he pushed open the doors of the Museum, “I’m not unfamiliar with war strategy. I just think it’s pointless. It requires too many resources and is far too likely to fail. I take my lessons from history.”

Looking around, Syx slid up to a guest and casually knicked his museum pass. He let the man walk past as the villain browsed the rack of guides. In the line ahead of them the man started cursing his lost ticket to the dismay of his girlfriend.

Pulling one out Syx tapped it with the back of his hand, “Looks like they have an entire Megamind wing, excellent.”

Sitting abruptly at the table across from her, Victor lifted his chin, “My Dad’s blue you know,” well who would know, but they should know damnit!

“Why. Are. You?” he enunciated slowly. These were things he needed to know. It was hard enough with everything so different. Having to change schools. Losing… god damnit! More  B L U E  strangeness was just going to make everything weird!

Great, whoever this was wasn’t going away. Scowling, Lucy sets the papers she’d tugged free next to her tray on the table, partly tucking them underneath the plastic afterward. “Good for you.” she mutters, drumming her fingers on the table.

“I don’t know, same reason you’re not?” she snarks back, looking around as if waiting for someone to provide her an out of the situation.

Victor twitched his ears, the black cat ears on his head moving forward and back with the twitching of his eye, “No I don’t knoooooow. No one tells me anything hu-elp-fuuul around here,” his arms crossed as he hunched his shoulder’s stubbornly staring at her, jaw set, “How should I know why I’m not blue! I didn’t even have fucked up ears until the whole damned universe turned on it’s damned head!”

“It’s okay. You’re going to be okay.”

Syx howled in pain, clinging tightly to his beloved Anna. He couldn’t cry, not like humans, yet his eyes filled with unshed tears. Inner eyelids blinking them away and blurring his vision. His face flushed as he rubbed against her, seeking comfort. It had been the hardest decision he’d ever made. Ripping his heart to shreds and leaving him a mess. It was right and needed. It was horrible and he was a monster. Nessisary to move on. Regretted instantly. Heartache overcame him.

Anna didn’t know just what was going on, wasn’t sure why Syx was reacting the way he was.. but she didn’t question it for now. She knew that now was not the right time to try to question him, to try to make him speak of what was upsetting him so much. All she did for now, was embrace him with her whole body, one leg wrapped around his, her arms wrapped firmly around his torso as her hand cupped the back of his head to keep him pressed close to her.

She made soft soothing noises in the back of her throat as she rocked her love back and forth in smooth, rhythmic motions, her hand moving up and down his back as she did so.

She knew not that long ago their roles had been reversed.. she had been the broken one, the one resting in his arms, the one in desperate need of comfort.. she recalled how patient he had been for her, despite how it was effecting him at the time. She recalled just how amazing he had been..

She did everything she could to make sure that he knew he was loved.. for now, it was all she would do. For now, simply being here is what she would be for him..

It didn’t take long, not as long as it would have before she came into his life, for Syx to start talking. Quick;y enough that it shocked Minion greatly. Seeing as his duty as shoulder to cry on was now a shared duty, he slipped out of sight to let his Sir and Ma’am talk. He kept an ear turned to the conversation, though.

Curled in Anna’s arms on the leather sofa, Syx sniffled. Rubbing their forehead together he sought every bit of comfort he could, “I… I broke up with Wayne. I had to,” he hiccuped and rubbed his nose, “No more dating, no more battles… what am I suppose to be without him?” he felt pathetic, yet…

“but I couldn’t… just keep going on like that,” Wayne’s jealousy had been eating away at him for too long and as much as he loved his hero… he couldn’t, wouldn’t, give up the other people in his life.

It was a shopping list.

Now she was just teasing him! Huffing and smacking the list away from himself, Megamind glared at her.

Then the list registered. She had a kid. A baby. Crossing his arms, he told her, “The part with not messing with families or kids applies to everyone. I won’t ever harass your family if they are non-combatants.”

With his holowatch firmly in place and activated, Syx strode into the small tattoo parlor wearing his most often used dark skinned face. His afro filling a portion of the space his blue head did in order to help the disguise generator. He found that the less the watch had to drastically fabricate the more realistic the disguise and the longer the charge lasted. Generating flowing hair and clothing he wasn’t actually wearing stressed the-the algorithms in the watch and increased the likelihood he’d end up looking like a CGI character come to life.

Smoothing out his leather jacket, Syx grinned at his uncle and leaned against the counter. Chatting about business and news since he’d been in prison. Passing on messages from those who were still inside.

Noticing Paige coming in he gave her a little wave, heading over toward her and plopping down in her tattoo chair as if he hadn’t turned down every offer she’d ever made to give him one. He flashed her a wide charming smile, green eyes shining.

“Draw up anything new while I was gone?” he always adored seeing her sketches for her designs.

There was a strong longing in Syx’s eyes as she spoke, a soft smile spreading across his face. Before his eyes dropped to his brown hands. His fake hands. Face falling, Syx pulled his hands into his lap, fidgeting, “It wouldn’t work…”

Paige paused when his expression shifted, feeling as if he suddenly looked almost.. defeated? Frowning, she shifted to come closer to him, putting a hand on his forearm in a gentle touch that she didn’t really think about until the action was already done.

“Why not?” She asked, frowning softly. The concern for his sudden shift in attitude was clear in her expression, her pink hair slipping from behind her ear to fall into her face

-Because the holowatch won’t project your ink work. Because you’d be tattooing my skin and never see it. Because if you knew I was blue you likely wouldn’t be my friend because you’re normal, with a normal life.-

Syx closed his eyes against the harsh thoughts. Blowing out a breath he said, “This skin of mine doesn’t take ink well,” not a lie, not really, “It wouldn’t show up right.”

“Ha! Well what are you waiting for then?” Megamind gave the Crimson Fucker the come at me fingers from the piolet seat of the Spider Bot, “Come on an hit me if you’re able.”

Damnit! Megamind watched her sail up and over the glob of glue the gun spat out. Verticle opponents were so much more frustrating to hit. Still, he had plenty of practice fighting Metro Man and the hell cat couldn’t fly.

With a clamor of metal on concrete, the Spider Bot shot to the side and away from her shot, the fire splashing over the legs.Far closer to hitting then he was comfortable with.

Swinging the cannon around again, Megamind fired off three shots toward her and where he hoped she’d be.

Unfortunately for the hell cat, it was damn near impossible to change where she landed once she was in the air.. but she’d be damned if she didn’t try. The goop had caught her one foot, forcing her to put the vast majority of her weight on the other to keep her from falling entirely.

Snarling at Syx, her lips twisted in a sort of snarl, smoke visibly beginning to rise off her form.. but they were in far too public of an area for her to go full out. If there was anything that they had in common, is that neither of them wanted to involve the general public when it came to a fight.

Even in a more remote place as they were in, Emma wouldn’t risk it. So she kept her fire to herself, concentrating it instead to keep to her body.. and a moment later her entire form burst into black flames. She raged it as hot as she could, hoping to melt the goop that covered her foot and rendered her immobile.

“Oh take a chill pill!” Megamind swore at her when he saw the fire, the reek of burning glue quickly filling the air. The special glue blackened and blistered in the heat. Before it could burn away completely he fired several more shots at her, trying to smother her fire and coat her in glue.

Syx wasn’t much for seduction. Not that he didn’t understand it, but the first approach felt nearly impossible. So he fell back to what he always did to get another’s attention. He built a thing. “The demon? I have no idea,” Syx frowned trying to recall what the old witch told him since it seemed it would be very relevant now. He closed his eyes, arms crossed and pursed his lips, “Never said where it came from. Messed up Psycho pretty bad, possession of some kind. They kicked it out and it left. Whatever it was it scared Flash enough that she bothered to spread word through the underground and tell me in person,” he glanced at the devil beside him, “That’s all I ever learned of it.”

He pointedly left out large pieces of info including the book on combating magic the witch had given him. Not lying as much as half truths. Show enough cards to continue the game, but never reveal them all.

– Zagam rolls his eyes disappointed for the type of demon they faced. “A poor devil for what you are saying. Demons just fall into possession when they are weak or otherwise needs to steal information from the person they possess and the people it knows. They maybe faced a small soldier.” Zagam lost interest in that but the names Syx mentioned were now more points for questions. – “Who is Flash?”

Syx just shrugged, he knew little about demon’s but he filed the information away to think on later, “Hot Flash, she’s the main fire wielder of the Doom Syndicate. You can’t miss her. Hot pink hair that’s always exciting and on fire,” he waved his fingers over his head as a demonstration, “She’s not bad really, as long as she’s in a good mood. I get along with her better than the others.”

Eyes narrowing Megamind turned his head to glare at the mouthy woman. The Spanish he knew was the heavy slang from his uncles and the prisoners he grew up with, but he knew it very well. And all the swears. He snipped back in his slang dialect, “You have a problem with blue?”

What makes you think that? she taunts, eyeing the apparently familiar man in front of her. Not skipping a beat when he responds and proves his own understanding, now she’s smirking to herself.

Crossing his arms, Megamind raised an eyebrow at her. Her tone of voice telling him all he needed to know in his opinion.

“You just seem like such a fan!” he continued in in the same language, dripping with sarcasm.
