“How many of you does one city need?” Rockatoo grouses, slipping into Spanish rather than English for the complaint.

@syx-blue

“Come again? You say the name like it should mean something to me.”

He’d been to the Museum and done some looking into the mess that was the multiverse Doom Syndicate. She was connected to a Psycho Delic, but not his. Great, wonderful. The one he didn’t know much about yet.

“Ya serious?”

Wonderful, the one time she wasn’t recognized.

“You know this is why I bother to have proper descriptors in my full title,” Megamind gave a bit of a flourish to his cape, “Why don’t you give me the full introduction? Or is that beyond you?”

Syx had never watched porn with a lover before. Not like this. Yet with her next to him, he found the idea had growing appeal. Sliding closer to her, Syx held her closer to him. Head tipped to give her more access to his slender neck, “I always love your company. I just… wasn’t sure you’d find this appealing? But I, aaah, not complaining.”

Anna smiled some, letting her hand press to his stomach a moment before her hand began to make its way along his torso, sliding up and over his chest as she sucked a bit of his skin into her mouth.

“..I find you far more appealing than the video.. but yes…” she informed him softly, parting from his neck to look up at him. Her blue eyes quite literally glowed just a touch in the room as she reached up, her hand having come to press lightly at his jaw to get him to turn his head towards her and kiss her

Kissing her back and nipping at her lips, Syx pulled his mate against him. He hadn’t been wearing much, he hadn’t gotten to the point of removing his pants, but he’d discarded his t-shirt early on. His fingers easily slid under the skimpy tops she favored, finding skin.

“Normally I far prefer the real thing too, but uhh… sometimes I want things that the reality here doesn’t really provide,” taking her hand and joining their fingers together he lowered their hands until they were cupping his slit. Syx rocked into the contact, letting his head fall to her shoulder.

Syx wasn’t much for seduction. Not that he didn’t understand it, but the first approach felt nearly impossible. So he fell back to what he always did to get another’s attention. He built a thing. In this case a floating bot, dark metal and trailing gossamer ribbons like a decorative tail. It hovered and spun in an odd little dance around the brooding man that had caught Syx’s eye.

“And what do we have here?” Zagam’s eyes widened in surprise, first wary, to see a strange artefact floating around him, but relaxed immediatly when noticed it was just trying to call his attention, thing that did succesfully. His gaze soon moved towards the blue man that for one second he thoug might be Mr. Drake. It wasn’t him, of course. The colony was not the same neither the energy. Another blue man?
Zagam flashed him a charming smile leaning forward on his chair, there is the resting area of the exhibition. “Pretty artefact you have here. Is it yours?” He asks with playfully interest.

“Earth has never had immortal armies…” Syx trailed off with a slight frown, “Which is a good thing in my opinion. Though what you just described is why I use brain bots. I can have thousands and not need to feed them. They only need to be recharged occasionally.”

“Yes it’s a good thing,” he checked the map again, “This way.”

Turning he wove easily through the crowds, holding out his stolen ticket. He wasn’t going to pay to get in to see his own inventions. Leading the way to his wing, Syx stopped and stared. With a bark of laughter, he gave a whoop and jogged over pointing, “Either they actually do have my stuff in here of it identical enough not to matter!”

He stopped before a massive robotic husk that filled an entire wall. The bot was in a kneeling position and had been stripped of all deadly weaponry by a brain bot team before it had been recovered by humans, but it was still an impressive sight in Megamind’s opinion. Standing it would have been over 20ft, covered in spikes and wielded dual flamethrowers. It still had the dents from the battle with Metro Man covering it.

True, but it would be also entertaining for demon to battle immortals in earth. He saved that thought to himself and followed Syx all the way to the Megamind’s section, stopping briefly front each small description or information he could find. Soon the enormeous image of a giant appeared from him, indeed, surprising him. Could be considered a good match for a rock demon, a goliat or a Leviathan. “Impressive your Titan of Iron!” he exclamed and approached to it, wondering how he makes it work. It was not moving…The devil titled his head and looked back to Syx. Knowing absoluty nothing about advanced technology- “Is not moving. Does not he recognize its creator? ” well. The machine seems not care that Syx was there….

“Is that an Unicorn?” the devil pointed behind Syx. blinking..

“Oh I stripped the power core out of it after the battle, it’s deactivated. It was a good fight, though,” Syx sighed with a happy grin, “I would take a lot of work to make this one come back to life again. It’s mostly just scrap-metal and memories now.”

Without even turning, Syx knew just what Zagam had seen, “Nooooooo it’s not a unicorn. It’s the Equestrinator! That spike is bigger than the others for balance,” his voice was that of someone who’d had to repeat that far too many times.

Truth be told, he was very aware of what he’d built and that was half the fun. Shouting puns and hidden jokes back and forth with Metro Man and Miss Ritchi. It had only gotten better when she’d realized that it was a joke. He’d miss it when it was all gone. The large creations around him filling him with nostalgia for an ending era.

Megamind had been performing a steak-out. Sitting on the roof of a nearby building. He’d had brain bots watching the place and tonight should have been the night. A gang had been planning on moving very dangerous weapons through his city and he could allow that.

The night had dragged on. Too many long nights that he’d been building new machines and tracking this potential shipment. His eyes drooped and he was asleep before he knew it.

He was falling …up… the ground disappearing beneath him until Earth was nothing but a marble in the black inkiness of space. His heart seized. No! Nooo! Not again!

Jerking wildly as he awoke, Megamind blinked in confusion at the face that swam into his vision. The expression making it hard to understand who he was looking at, memories blurring together as he tried to put the right name to the face in his half awake state with heart still hammering, “Wha…?”

“Mmhmm, for a man who just told me that I didn’t need to bother, you are taking advantage of it,” she said with a raised brow, and as soon as he was close she poked the side of his head. “Come on loser, the stuff is right inside,” She stated, pulling a key from her pocket.

She appraoched the back door, inserting the key and turning the knob.

Megamind smacked her hand away, “Why wouldn’t I use it once it was there?” he glared at the back of her head as he followed. She was starting to remind him more of Lyn then the Emma he knew that had been Anna. Thank god.

She laughed, shaking her head some as she opened the door, “After you,” She mused. As soon as he was through, she followed behind him, locking the door behind her to ensure she didn’t forget later.

“Alright, it’ll be in the office,” she paused to stifle a yawn, her ears hanging off to the side as she did so before she took the lead. Pausing, she took out her keys again, frowning softly as she went to find the key..

“..ALright where the fuck is it..” she murmured, chewing at her lower lip before making a soft noise. “There you are!” she inserted the key in and opened the door for him to go in first

Syx was beginning to get leery about being locked in a room with the cat eared woman, but she was obviously tired and he still had his de-gun. He kept a careful distance, cape drawn around him, simply memorising everything.

“I’m gonna find a way out of here.” //oh shit, waddup

Megamind listened from where he was, crammed inside of a hole that was dug by brainbots into the wall. He barely had enough room to breath, but he snorted. He Must be closer then he thought to another cell, “Yeah, good luck with that.”

“I don’t see any- ah! -reason why I should,” Megamind sighed as he finally wiggled his way into the small gap carved into the wall. It at least gave him breathing room.

Magic. It’s what the Doom Syndicate used. He was incredibly leery about trusting it. Even assuming the stranger was playing him straight. Besides, he already had a plan and Minion should be in place waiting for him. His fingers found the hidden cache and he began assembling the small device.

“Fine. Git caugh’. Not m’ faul’.” Emma sighed, looking at the bars on the front of the cell. Typically, the humans didn’t put women in a men’s prison, but they were still debating whether or not to let her in a women’s prison considering she was an animal. A magic animal, nonetheless.

Magic barely existed in this world, so Emma knew this stranger had valid reason not to trust her. But, she hated lying, especially about this, to someone who hadn’t done her any wrong. Her horn lit up, and a ‘shwee’ noise was heard.

Megamind fumbled his device, “the fuck?!” he must be very close to this person’s cell, in their walls even, “Don’t make noise!” he hissed.

The last thing he needed was this annoying person to attract the guards over, “You a damn narc?”

Syx tipped his head as he contemplated the man next to him, “What you describe sounds like a nation at constant war. War and standing armies drains resources at an alarming rate. It creates a war machine that must always be conquering so as to fill its coffers. An empire that will crumble if it ever loses it’s king or fails to gather the resources to continue to supply its military units,” Syx shook his head as he pushed open the doors of the Museum, “I’m not unfamiliar with war strategy. I just think it’s pointless. It requires too many resources and is far too likely to fail. I take my lessons from history.”

Looking around, Syx slid up to a guest and casually knicked his museum pass. He let the man walk past as the villain browsed the rack of guides. In the line ahead of them the man started cursing his lost ticket to the dismay of his girlfriend.

Pulling one out Syx tapped it with the back of his hand, “Looks like they have an entire Megamind wing, excellent.”

“We don’t just conquer, also defend our territory. And believe it or not, we are not always the ones who start it . About resources. Not that much. we born for battle and war. No need of sleep or eat like a common soldier. I think you are keeping in mind mortal armies, with  its weak and strong spots.  Trust me when I say that we are very organized and count with more areas than just to fight.”

He gives a good look around as they step inside the museum, smiling interested about the villain section. “Is that good? “

“Earth has never had immortal armies…” Syx trailed off with a slight frown, “Which is a good thing in my opinion. Though what you just described is why I use brain bots. I can have thousands and not need to feed them. They only need to be recharged occasionally.”

Emma led him down through the building, though she was careful to keep Syx out of her personal loft, she wound up leading him down along the metal fire escape to the ground. Though rather than push the ladder at the bottom down and then going, she jumped down, grabbing hold of a rung and brought it down that way.

Landing with a slight bending of her knees, she looked up at him with a small smile. “Come on. It’ll be in the office inside.”

Syx had come up via the fire escape so he hadn’t been surprised as she led him to it. He wrapped his cape defensively around himself as he followed. Watching her descend the ladder dramatically he sighed, “You didn’t need to do that.”

He’d gotten up originally with a jump off the dumpster and a push off the wall. He was tired enough no to bother with showmanship, however, and simply braced his feet and hands on the sides of the lowered ladder and slid down it.

“Mmhmm, for a man who just told me that I didn’t need to bother, you are taking advantage of it,” she said with a raised brow, and as soon as he was close she poked the side of his head. “Come on loser, the stuff is right inside,” She stated, pulling a key from her pocket.

Sitting abruptly at the table across from her, Victor lifted his chin, “My Dad’s blue you know,” well who would know, but they should know damnit!

“Why. Are. You?” he enunciated slowly. These were things he needed to know. It was hard enough with everything so different. Having to change schools. Losing… god damnit! More  B L U E  strangeness was just going to make everything weird!

Great, whoever this was wasn’t going away. Scowling, Lucy sets the papers she’d tugged free next to her tray on the table, partly tucking them underneath the plastic afterward. “Good for you.” she mutters, drumming her fingers on the table.

“I don’t know, same reason you’re not?” she snarks back, looking around as if waiting for someone to provide her an out of the situation.

Victor twitched his ears, the black cat ears on his head moving forward and back with the twitching of his eye, “No I don’t knoooooow. No one tells me anything hu-elp-fuuul around here,” his arms crossed as he hunched his shoulder’s stubbornly staring at her, jaw set, “How should I know why I’m not blue! I didn’t even have fucked up ears until the whole damned universe turned on it’s damned head!”

A sarcastic snort of laughter and Lucy rolls her eyes. “They’re not that weird.” The prospect of whoever this was having been blue-skinned before doesn’t escape her notice, directing an examining look toward Victor.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

Victor picked at his food sullenly, face twisting up, “What’s else it supposed to mean? Everything was great and the the WORLD ENDED and it turned out my parents hate each other and are apparently super villains? Because that’s a thing?” he threw up and hands and glared at Lucy, “ You’re blue. You tell me why everything is fucked to hell.”

With his holowatch firmly in place and activated, Syx strode into the small tattoo parlor wearing his most often used dark skinned face. His afro filling a portion of the space his blue head did in order to help the disguise generator. He found that the less the watch had to drastically fabricate the more realistic the disguise and the longer the charge lasted. Generating flowing hair and clothing he wasn’t actually wearing stressed the-the algorithms in the watch and increased the likelihood he’d end up looking like a CGI character come to life.

Smoothing out his leather jacket, Syx grinned at his uncle and leaned against the counter. Chatting about business and news since he’d been in prison. Passing on messages from those who were still inside.

Noticing Paige coming in he gave her a little wave, heading over toward her and plopping down in her tattoo chair as if he hadn’t turned down every offer she’d ever made to give him one. He flashed her a wide charming smile, green eyes shining.

“Draw up anything new while I was gone?” he always adored seeing her sketches for her designs.

“Holographic disguise. It’s hardly like I can just use makeup to avoid standing out. Not with his head,” Syx waved at his overly large dome. Drawing patterns on the water bottle he kept his eyes on his lap, “The safe thing to do would not associate yourself with a dangerous escaped convict and known super villain.”

He risked a glance up at her, “But I would miss seeing you.”

Paige gazed at the alien for a moment, seeing his expression she knew without a doubt that he was being sincere. She took a deep breath in, running her hands through her hair again, fluffing it before dropping her hand at her side.

“…Well you don’t have to stop seeing me… you know..” she muttered, looking away. It was a hard decision for her, one that she wasn’t sure if she was even really doing properly. Yes, he had lied.. and it was something that she hated more than anything… but being able to understand it, it made sense… and part of her didn’t blame him for what he did.

Syx rubbed his face feeling horribly awkward and he curled up in the chair, “Where you we even go from here?”

He hadn’t ever pictured this as a possible outcome. Hadn’t envisioned what he could possibly do or say. Feeling wholly unprepared he let out a soft laugh, “Well I suppose this means tattoos are no long out of the question.”
