Little Hel looked up at the stranger. She liked strangers. They were funny and strange and they were fun to talk to. “Do you wanna know a secret?” She asked brightly. “Because I’ve got a secret.”

“I do love secrets,” Megamind steeples his fingers together, “Do share, little one.”

Starlight Picnic

Syx had been anxiously planning this for weeks. A big grand romantic gesture. He’d been so nervous that she was going to figure out his plans as he stayed up late each night, building and plotting, his idea cloud and cork boards filled with his thoughts. Luckily his notes tended to be a disorganized array of disjointed thoughts and often even Minion had a hard time tracking them.

But now it was ready. With Minion’s help, he’d packed a picnic basket with food and wines. Cubed in the pack were blankets and other supplies he’d need to set everything up once they’d reach the destination. He could just fly them there on the hover bike, but the plan was to hike through the woods to get to the secluded overlook near the sand dunes by the beach. The journey being as important to him as the arrival. Timed out just perfectly so that at a good pace they would arrive right before sunset.

He wanted everything to be perfect for his tiger.

Within the pack too, had been his obsession. Something he’d been building for her over the course of the last months. Every time he thought he was done, another idea had crept up. A new necessary addition. Now, though, it was perfect. Or at least as perfect as he could make it without her input. Positively as giddy as he was anxious for her reaction, Syx made his way to Anna.

Watching her from the doorway with a lazy smile for a moment, he walked up and wrapped his arms around his mate. Humming and kissing her neck, he murmured, “Ready for our grand adventure, my tempting tiger?”

“Hi! I’m Dana!” A tiny alien smiled up at him. “How are you?!”

Megamind pulled up short, blinking down at the small child? a hand drawing up to his chest as he peered dow at her. Black cape pulled around him, the blue man rocked back on his heels, “My! Aren’t you interesting!”

“Megamind, Criminal Genius and Master of all Villainy,” he boasted with a smirk, “And I’m deplorably bad, which is good. For the sake of bad.”

Pursing his lips Syx looked around the other Megamind’s lair, trying to think of anything else they needed to cover, “So… I suppose the only remainder is who are your protected people? So I don’t accidentally go after any of your loved ones. Do you have Uncles or Aunts too? Lovers?”

This question she’d been expecting, and Megamind answers it easily. “Both aunts and uncles, as well as Matron. Roxanne, naturally. And my son.” She adds the last matter of factly, less concerned with Syx’s reaction than she is ensuring the little boy would be safe.

“Matron?” Syx echoed, tipping his head, and of course Roxanne. Always Roxanne. But the last bit… “You have a son?” maybe she adopted…
