Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Syx raised his brows at the magic trick, “There is a good several chapters in here about demons…” he sighed, “But I’ve never dealt with them directly myself. I got the impression the D.S. had a run in at least once in the past though,” the villain shrugged.

He waved off eight who was in a mood now and bobbing around excitedly and snapping it’s jaws, raining cookie crumbs everywhere. After a moment of hesitation Syx slid into Harrison’s lap again and took the man’s chin in his had, “I could potentially call in some favors and set you up with a meeting with Hot Flash using my rep with her as your in. However…” he let the word hang, “Such business between use would leave you indebted to me and I don’t care about money. Favors and information are far more useful,” plus he was having far to many dangerous thoughts about the man. Like what he’d taste like.

Ahhh, that was better.  Once more Harrison relaxed, finding the contact with the other blue man better at melting the tension out of his shoulders than a massage.  With his wrists free, he wraps them around Sxy’s waist, letting his hands drift lazily across the other man’s lower back.

“If you want a transaction, it’s a price I’ll certainly pay,” Harrison says slowly.  He looks up at the other blue man, searching his eyes for…. something.  He’s not even sure what.  He certainly knows what it is like to view the world as a constant ledger, but that isn’t his life any more.

“But it’s more than just friendship with those of us blue people here in Metro City.  We look after each other.  It’s a chaotic, strange, and colorful little family we’ve put together here, but it’s who we are.  On a good day we’re a community, on a bad one we’re all a bit damaged.  But if you need something that I can give….” He trails a hand up to cup the villain’s cheek, hoping it will help to get the point across.  “All you have to do is ask.  You’re not alone anymore.”

Syx closed his eyes, a tremble running through him. He’s been getting much more comfortable with being touched lately, his feline eared companion being a big part of that… but he still wasn’t sure how he felt about Harrison. Still it wasn’t unwelcome.

“Family are the ones I’ve chosen for myself,” he’d built quite the sprawling family over the years. The Blues, lead by his Uncles and Aunt. Faced with the question of blue skin though… did it change things? He wasn’t sure, “I haven’t decided yet where you fall.”

Though the very fact he was sitting in Harrison’s lap at all was telling that he’d made up his mind more then he was willing to admit. He was painfully aware of the man’s wandering hands. He’d have to restrain him again if Harrison was anything but gentle.
