mega-camp:

Okay gang, I am officially announcing this thing I have been working on for months….. *drumroll plz*

Please join me next summer at Mega Camp, an adult summer camp for the Megamind fandom!

Yeah folks that right.  I’ve teamed up with @nientedal, @thatfilthyanimal, @justiceisanoncorrosivemetal, @ladystormcrow, @thoughtful-raven, and @tabbydragon to pull of the biggest and baddest MegaMeetup yet!  Last time I brought everyone to Dash Con and this time I’m bringing y’all to my homeland.

Mark your calendars for July 19th to July 23rd 2018 where we will gather at the beautiful Camp Dewan in Burlington Wisconsin!  

We can’t promise a ball pit, but take a look at what we do have:

• swimming
• kayaking and canoeing
• fishing 
• All of this on our own private lake(!!)  That means only fandom peeps will see you in your swimsuit!
• furnished indoor cabins, which yes have real beds 
• day trips to local attractions like a winery/distillery and one of the biggest renaissance fairs in the country
• hiking and birdwatching (because nature rocks!  Also we might find cool rocks!)
• crafts, games, contests, and other summer camp staples
• alcohol because this is an adult summer camp dammit 
•  nightly campfires with stories and s’mores
• your very own cool Mega Camp shirt
• and hanging out with members of the best fandom in the world IN REAL LIFE!!!  

We are still figuring out the final details of costs, but we’re looking in the neighborhood of $300 for four days which includes lodging, activities, supplies, and all meals.   Registration will open sometime this fall once we know that exact amount and you’ll pay your own travel costs.  So start saving those pennies now folks.  We’re also hoping to have full and/or partial scholarships available (more details TBA).  

Who is welcome at Mega Camp?

• Any one who considers themselves part of the Megamind fandom
• Yes, even if you are just a lurker
• Or if you haven’t been as involved with the fandom lately
• Or you only do the Metrocity tumblr rps
• Or if you’ve never rped
• Or if you’ve never met a single person from the fandom IRL
• Or if you’re international
• Or if English isn’t your first language
• Yes you are welcome to come!  We want YOU here!
• We also welcome the‘fandom adjacent’ such as spouses, boy/girlfriends, roommates, and good friends as long as they are pro-Megamind and pro-fandom 😀

More details and registration will be coming as soon as I have them available.  But I’m so excited to share this with you guys!  Its gonna rock!
