Curled up a bit more, but pressed right up against Syx. If he moves, she’s likely to move to press right up against him all over again. If Syx isn’t there, she’ll be curled up a bit more, sleeping in the middle of the bed

😐- the most embarrassing thing they’ve ever done

Once, early in his career, while he was building one of the first big Mechs, he trapped himself inside of the chassis. It was back when the brain bots were far less helpful and more like dog versions of Iron Man’s ‘dummy’. Minion was out running errands and when he came back five hours later he found 4 bots playing by themselves and 2 trying to ‘help daddy’ (the rest had given up long ago). In their attempts to follow Syx’s muffled directions they had transformed the situation from ‘the panel fell and I can’t move it myself’ to ‘I’m welded inside of this robot and these fuckers won’t even bring me water and I’m certain I’m now dying’. One bot was helpfully tormenting Syx by pouring water on the outside of the half-built robot and ruining the wiring.

When Minion finally freed his Sir, Syx refused to even talk about it and had the entire project scrapped. Whenever the incident is brought up, Minion has to suppress laughter under the duress of Syx’s death glares.

Laughing until tears streaming down his face, watching every single idiot shout retardedly to the copymachine.

Until Roxanne has had enough of everybody yelling and shouting, breaking her concentration all morning.

Megamind laughs even more once he sees Roxanne in all her full fury, shouting angrily at her co-workers to (shut the hell up, if it doesnt work once, it certainly doesnt work on the 10th time either-!)

Alternatively: She tears down the sign about three shouted commands in (she hadn’t needed to copy anything that day, so she was just confused until she decided to investigate the source of the issue) and tells him it was more juvenile than usual at the next kidnapping.

He has no idea how she’d known it was him, and all she says is if he doesn’t know by now, she’s not telling him. This is only half so she can feel smug about it–the other half of the reason is that Megamind would sulk for a week if he ever found out how obvious it is.

Only two people in Roxanne’s department use Times New Roman for these kinds of taped-up announcements, and both of them usually center their headers. Megamind uses Times New Roman for everything and he formats his documents with nothing but the tab key; he maintains he doesn’t have time to waste on things like formatting.

Also, he keeps his bottom margins short so that he can tape the pages of long plans together starting from the bottom up. Everyone else Roxanne knows would start at the top and work their way down.

Megamind’s planet is mostly water with the dry land largely being the equivalent of mangrove swamps.

Megamind’s species is mostly arboreal (he is very good at jumping, balancing and clinging). Or was, anyway, they’re probably mostly technological now. Platforms over water?

Minion’s species lived among the roots and are a bit like mudskippers. They’re amphibious, although they need to be wet, which is why he can survive his helmet breaking as long as someone throws him in a fountain before too long.

I don’t know if they’re naturally sapient. Megamind does call Minion a creation of science. Not sure whether giving Megamind one was a last minute thing (he needed some sort of companion) or whether his whole species has fish minions.

I keep thinking of Metro Man’s species as the equivalent of large herbivores. Rhinos or elephants or hippos. It’s always herbivores that have the seriously scary defenses.

Either way his planet must be home to some serious wildlife, evolution doesn’t tend to provide abilities that aren’t needed.

Or, given the Superman parody, maybe he just has more power on Earth. In which case his planet could be like anything.

(I kind of like the idea of superpowered wildlife, though.)

I seriously love all of this and may end up with new headcannons.

Do we ever see Megamind barefoot? Because it seems to me that the feet of an arboreal species must be more like chimpanzee feet, i.e., like hands. Human feet developed for endurance walking. If Megamind’s feet are like human feet, then his ancestors must at some time have lived on dry ground where a lot of walking was called for.
