( ⌒o⌒)人(⌒-⌒ ) = Friends the character has or would like to make

I’m going to split this into verses:

Movie Canon:

Minion. It’s always Minion.

The only real friends that Megamind has otherwise is his prison Aunts and Uncles. They are family and very much help him though for their safety he keeps them out of the public eye.

He’s frienemies with Metro Man and they have many arrangements and truces and the “I’m going to kill you” is usually not meant. At times… in the heat of passion when Syx is really really pissed at Wayne for something… but he never really means it deep down.

He wants to be closer to Roxanne, but he’s afraid of destroying the dynamic that already exists and that if he tries to change anything that he’ll lose everything.

Megs also would love to have real friends, but he doesn’t even know how to go about meeting anyone new. They always seem to see blue before they see the person. It makes him anxious and he rarely trusts what people say.

MultiVerse Canon:

Same as above but with lots of character growing! 

Wayne @tight-beige-undies and Syx became lovers and it did just what Megamind feared, it ruined the game and he nearly lost Metro Man because of it. He’s been fighting to try and get something back and rebuild because Wayne has been part of his life since they were babies and Megamind can’t imagine what his life would be without him in it. </3

He had another frienemy in @1000liveslived Lyn aka The Crimson Fucker, Doom Syndicate member and super villain. 

Megamind has been gaining friendship and more in Harrison @dark-blue-mondays and his alternate Metro Man @justiceisanoncorrosivemetal . He’s also trying to get close to @never-so-bad Zagam. He doesn’t fully know what these relationships are going to be fully, but he wants to explore them and see what happens. These blur shipping and friendship heavily.

 Paige @1000liveslived is a friend he tried to make by removing the blue from the equation to meet her… it went only slightly better than the rain scene. But they are still talking.

And lastly… It’s best friend and mate that accepts his poly nature, @1000liveslived Anna is beyond dear to Syx. His giant wolf love.

You ever think that maybe Megamind just isn’t cool with Metro Man at all? Like sure he loved being evil and trying to destroy the dude so I GUESS that can be misconstrued as frenemies, especially when Metro Man calls him his “little buddy”.

But Metro Man was the person who sent Megamind into the spiral of “I am the bad boy I can never be good I will never be the good guy.”

Even when it’s very clear that he’s switched sides, Roxanne is very clear that they should team up, and even still, he says, “I’m the BAD guy.”

Like Metro Man fucked up his whole psyche instead of helping Megamind understand this planet he was on after spending his whole childhood in JAIL FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN THAT’S WHERE HIS ESCAPE POD LANDED.

Why would they be friends??????

I have to do something with this.

(( For me it
involves what we don’t see in the movie. Which is a decade of battles and
growing understandings. Summed up very shortly in the flower scene.

“I didn’t mean to destroy you. I mean, I meant
to destroy you, but I didn’t think it would really work. What’s the point of
being bad when there’s no good to try and stop you?” 

This plus the yellow roses for friendship and
the “little buddy” by Metro Man, paints a much deeper picture than just
what the movie shows of their relationship.

Megamind didn’t want to kill Metro Man, not
really. There was the joy of victory and success, but the horror on his face
from the skeleton says that even at the start its more complicated than
simply “yay i killed him.” 

But his perception of right and wrong and good
and bad is horribly skewed from his upbringing and the difficulties he went
through growing up. This effects his decisions horribly throughout the
movie. 

Also, last case point of Megamind cares for
Metro Man (whether he should or not) I present this face:

has feelings that aren’t ‘i hate you” and of the two of them, Roxanne is
the one that’s angry at Metro Man. 

I wish HORRIBLY that
the movie had done more with Metro Man’s character or DO A FUCKING SEQUELL!!!
so we could get more canon development for the character, but alas. ))

19. Name someone you’ve failed. What did you do wrong? How do they feel about you now?

“Warden…”

“I wasn’t good enough. I never could be. All I was ever successful at was failing spectacularly and causing problems… so I just… stopped trying to be good. And it was great! If I wasn’t playing their game then I could be left out or fail. But… that meant that I made him sad… and then the fights started… and I was just, so angry. He couldn’t understand how I felt and instead of telling him… I pushed him away.”

“I miss him. My Daddy. But I know that I can’t ever fix the damage I caused. He hates every life choice I’ve ever made and tells me so every time he sees me. But it’s still nice, that we can have that time together. Even if… even if he’ll only ever be my warden now.”

I like to think that Megamind would take Roxanne’s last name when they get married. I could give a big list of reasonings/justifications, even though they aren’t necessary, but the real reason why I like the idea is because I like thinking about Megamind’s face when he accidentally calls his wife “Miss Ritchi” and she responds by calling him “Mr Ritchi”

In my mind, it’s a really good face.

Do you think whenever there is a ufo sighting around metro city everyone looks at Megamind and he finds it confusing and offensive and is all like “Jesus christ you guys, you can’t blame me for everything!”

And do you think alien abductees try to contact him to get information about why they were abducted and what the aliens want from them and he’s just like “I’m from Michigan, i haven’t been in space since i was literally 8 days old! You’re guess is as good as mine!”

HONESTY 8: What would your ideal lover be like?

“I want a person who can match me in wit, challenge me at every level, and still make me… feel like I’m not worthless when I’m at my weakest. Who can hold me when I’m… soft.”

Did you have a name before you became Megamind? I am curious to know what the prisoners named you.

“Incredibly magnificent.”

(( poor grumpy boy won’t answer that, but I’ll share. XD His Uncles and the Warden called him Blue, Little Blue, Bobble Head, Buddy, Bub, and Syxy. In his disastrous attempt at school, Blueberry and Bad Boy was added to Bobble Head. As a teen on the streets, he earned Freak. In the max security prison yard, he earned Spider Killer, though it wasn’t used much. Currently, his nicknames are Little Buddy, my Overlord, Fuck Brain, Ol’ Blue, and Megs ))
