Bluebell waved it off, “You’re still just a teen. I can drink legally,” she arched her brows at the other girl, 4 years still made her the senior here. Starting to wander around the shop with noticeably less hostility than when she’d first entered, she commented, “I can see that, but I mean… like you work work here or is it like your workshop? Like my Evil Lair?”

“So what?” Lucy snarks, turning and hurrying to keep pace with Bluebell to make sure she didn’t try to take anything. “Who says it isn’t both?” she asks pointedly, sounding protective of the space.

Bluebell tipped her head at Lucy, confused, “Of course it can’t be both,” she made little circular hand motions as she tried to articulate her logic, “If it’s your workshop then it’s yours. He can’t pay yourself to work in it!”

She put her hands on her hips and turned to face Lucy fully, “You aren’t much of a villain, are you?”

“Well I don’t!”Bluebell shouted back over her shoulder, fishing around for the electric box and deactivating the kill switch bot she’d attached to it, “I know of them but I still don’t fucking know what you’re on about.”

Pulling off the night vision goggles now that power and lights were back, Bluebell stomped over to Lucy and glared hard, “You’re just a kid!”

This was utterly ignoring the fact that Bell herself was on;y slightly older, but those few years meant a lot to her.

“How’s that my fault?!” Lucy yells back, having been glowering in Bluebell’s direction as the older woman works to fully restore the power. When she turns around, though, that expression is replaced in a panic with something less obviously annoyed.

An effort that doesn’t last long with that follow up comment. “Am not!”

“Pffffff,” Bluebell blew out with a crinkled brow, “Yeah right! Like what are you? Like 14 or some shit,” she crossed her arms, feeling quite superior at 21. Curiosity overriding anything else, she admitted, “Like I heard about other people being blue but like, haven’t run into shit before you,” she looked around the shop, appraising it with new light now, “What is this place to you then, anyway?”

Making a face at ‘14′, Lucy’s look of annoyance deepens. “I’m seventeen!” she snaps in return, not liking the way Bluebell was acting. “Um, I work here?” she responds in an ‘isn’t that obvious’ tone.

“The fuck should I know?” Bluebell threw up her hands, “One of the other whats?” she huffed at the other girl, “I just said I don’t know any other blues.”

“This is stupid,” she complained, “I’m going to turn the power back on,” turning, she dropped the goggles back in place and headed back the way she came.

“You don’t have to know any of ‘em to know about them!” Lucy calls back, carefully staying put until the lights are back on. Something that makes her flinch when they switch back on that suddenly, automatically shielding her eyes against the light until she can adjust.

Halloween Town

Bluebell’s eyebrows crept up her forehead, “Well I certainly have to agree to that part. A grand presentation and some good screams,” even if Mr. Ritchi never screamed for her. Well, except for special occasions. Leaning out to look at the others beyond Scarborough, she wondered, “So what all is going on in your Halloween party then?”

“Why, any Halloween fun you can think of!” Scarborough grinned. “The entire town’s the party! Bobbing for heads in the well, trick-or-treating all around town, scaring each other silly, and oh so much more wherever you look!”

“I’ve never actually been bobbing for…” Bell tapped her chin thoughtfully and almost corrected to apples, raising a questioning eyebrow, she echoed, “…heads… before. A good scare seems right up my alley.”

Clapping her hands together to let out the bubbling excitement growing in her, she bit her lip and looked over the strange woman before her and made the decision, “Show the new girl around?”

Looking around Bell wondered, “You guys really go all out for Halloween, huh?” her arms crossed she tapped a booted foot, “And I do my best to make sure the dissidents of the city are properly in the spirit,” she replied smugly, “Otherwise things would just be boring!” which in her mind, was the bigger crime.

Scarborough let out a high-pitched cackle that sounded very much like her father’s giggling laugh. “Of course we go all out for Halloween! This is Halloween, after all! It’s our night! And who wants a boring Halloween? Life’s no fun without a good scream.”

Childish Escape

De-gun set to de-stroy, Bluebell shot the camera in the corner of the shop and then swung the gun to the cashier. As she moved the gun, her thub hit the barrel turning the setting from de-stroy to de-hydrate, “Don’t even think about it! Hands in the air!”

“Goes for you too blondie!” Bell shouted, looking at the other girl in the corner of her vision, “Everything in the store is now property of Megamind! If you have a safe, your going to open it right now. Cash drawer too.”

As soon as everything was opened, she’d de-hydrate them both and bag everything she could. Which would be a lot once everything was little blue cubes. The other bonus for this neighborhood is that the cops would take their sweet time showing up.

Lyn raised a single brow at the antics of this person, looking her up and down. Her Dad didn’t tell her anything about somebody like this.. and because of that? She was quickly able to figure out that this person was either a pee-on, or new in the criminal world. Considering the blue chick had yet to figure out that the cashier would be carrying, Lyn went with the ‘new person’ option.

While the bonus of the cops taking their sweet time was definitely true.. it meant the store owners had found ways around that to ensure their own safety. As he bent down with his hands in the air, feigning that he was following Bell’s request, Emma sighed.

“..I wouldn’ do this, chick..” her accent was hard to place, a hint of her original accent peaking through the accent she had picked up from spending so much time around her Father.

Eyes twitching to the other girl in the shop when she spoke, Bluebell caught the motion from the corner of her eye as the cashier lunged. Her finger squeezed the trigger nervously, “Fuck!”

As the little blue cube that was the cashier, and the gun he’d started pulling, fell to the ground in a clatter, Bell swung the de-gun around to the last person, “Shut up! Look what you did! I had things under control and now I have to crack the damn safe myself!”

Stomping a foot petulantly, she huffed, “Don’t even think about it, girly! I’m an unstable alien with a ray gun. Got it?”

“Um, Lucy?” Answered in a ‘well duh’ tone, Lucy turns the light down toward a spot between the two of them; it’s just strong enough to show where both are but not their appearances. “Why’d you cut the power, huh?”

Being able to see more than just by the little flashlight she was holding was Lucy’s first priority.

“Well duuuuuuuh! I’m robbing you! Or I was…” Bluebell scowled, crossing her arms. The other person in the building being blue rather drastically changed her priorities.

Looking Lucy up and down she had to wonder at the similarities, “That real? You didn’t just steal a disguise watch did you?”

She was somewhat aware of the multi-dimensional nature of the city, but she’d never actually run into another blue person before now.

“No you’re not!” Lucy shoots back, sounding more certain of that than she honestly feels. Standing up a little straighter to look more confident, too. Narrowing her eyes after Bluebell’s next comment, she’s tapping one foot against the floor.

“Do I look like I’m wearing one?” is her return question, keeping a close eye on the older blue woman.

“Well no…” Bell scowled and crossed her arms embarrassed, “I just… didn’t expect to see someone else who was blue…” biting her lip, she look away, “I’m not gonna rob a sister. Blue pride.”

Rolling a shoulder as she debated internally, Bell finally holstered her de-gun, “You don’t have to call me Megamind. It’s Bluebell.”

The tension carried in Lucy’s shoulders eases when Bluebell holsters the gun she had been holding, even if the teen herself hadn’t been fully aware of it.

“Makes things easier,” she admits, hands clasped behind her back. “You’re one of the other ones, then?”

“The fuck should I know?” Bluebell threw up her hands, “One of the other whats?” she huffed at the other girl, “I just said I don’t know any other blues.”

Bluebell arched her eyebrows at the girl, that smile really made her feel like this had to be a dream, “Halloween town huh?” rocking back on her heels with her hands on her hips, she decided it was best just to roll with it for now, “Megamind, Incredibly Criminal Genius Handsome Mistress of all Villainy of Metrocity.”

She rhymed the city name with atrocity, as in her mind, that’s what it was. Her chin held high, she grinned widely, showing her real teeth under the painted on ones, “But you can just call me, Megamind.”

Scarborough cackled again, grinning gleefully back at the other. “That’s quite a title you’ve got for yourself. And I’ve never heard of a place called Metrocity before. Sounds like a terrifying place.” Of course, to her, terrifying was a good thing. After all, this was Halloween. Terrifying was what they aimed for.
