Little Fish Baby

Syx sighed heavily and Minion made placating gestures. Refocusing on the child, the blue teen tried to let the little baby as much freedom of movement as possible without letting him escape.

“You can’t understand English, that’s clear. Or just can’t speak it?” Syx rubbed his large forehead with one hand, “Either way, I can’t understand you.”

“It does appear to just be a baby, Sir,” Minion reasoned, “We were scared when we got here,” though it was only a guess influenced by their own experience to assume the child was new to earth. Or even a baby for that matter.

“And hungry,” Syx mused, “Do you need food? What do you eat?” the sharp teeth so similar to Minion’s gave him an idea, “Fish?”

Syx’s question earns a narrow-eyed look of confusion, taking the time to enjoy his physical freedom by giving himself some space between himself and the other aliens. Focus flickering between the two of them before he actually gets a better look at Minion, recognition removing the narrow’eyed look for a wide-eyed one.

Turning then to the taller alien’s suit, he reaches up, wanting to get a better look at the fish inside the dome.

“I still have some of the sunfish I cooked for you, but he may like uncooked better,” Minion mused. Seeing the little guy staring up at him, the hench-fish moved closer and knelt. He offered his arms but didn’t make any move to grab or pick up. He didn’t want to startle the little guy with unwanted touch, especially if his skin turned out to be a sensitive as Minion’s scales. He flashed a bright friendly smile filled with teeth, “Why hello there.”

“Didn’t we get a bunch of those little fishy fish things that you put in a tank,” Syx gestured around forgetting the name of the type, “he could have some of those.”

Minion cringed sheepishly, “I got hungry.”

{{ I really want to plot things? Either for Megamind or Human!au Belle and Tony. So maybe like this or message me if you want to? I’m especially interested in fleshing out my human!au verse more. }}

💗 (Tony)

Mun thoughts!

This is the first and only successful online relationship I’ve ever played out that hasn’t fallen flat and boring. I love love love that Tony was there through everything. They have some real problems and real success through their relationship that pushed them apart and brought them back together closer than before. I mean when you see these two together, its not this perfect relationship that they didn’t have to fight for… I mean honestly these two have fought tooth and nail through everything that life throws at them, and still they are close friends even through the rough times when doubts draw them away from the other.

I mean seriously, if Emma were to ever call Tony and need something, truly need something, he would be there in an instant even if he was pissed at her… and she would do the same thing for him. I love just how real it is

{{ oh in an instant. Even if he had to drive all night to get there (during the times they aren’t in the same city) she is so very special to him. The first person he could really call his best friend. That he formed a life long bond with. }}

Belle bounced on her toes, “It’s sweet, right?” she clapped her hands together, gladly gloating over one of her pride and joys, “It’s an YZF-R1, an ‘06. Normally they only got a 172 hp crank but I rebuilt most of this from scratch and got it up to 190. Better suspension and rear stabilization too. I could own a race in this bad girl,” she patted the side of the bike lovingly, “I gave it a metallic electron blue pearlescent paint. It’s also equiped with the de-regulator and a earlier vision of the invisibility generator for evading the cops. They always insist that 120 mph is too fast,“ she laughed.

Checking over the bike one last time to get a closer look at the paint job, Lucy looks away and toward the older blue woman with a wide smirk. “It’s a great bike. If you like being stuck on the street,” she trails off, dropping that little lure to see if Bell would pick it up.

“I-” Bell narrowed her eyes at Lucy, “Noooooo… no you DIDN’T! I haven’t gotten the balance figured out yet! It kept corkscrewing anytime I got above 10 feet!” she turned to the other girl, practically vibrating, “Tell me you didn’t! Hooooooooow?! You gotta shooooow meeeeeeeee.”

She grabbed Lucy’s shoulder and steered her to get on the bike, swinging onto it herself, “Come on, come on come on! I gotta see it too!”

{{ flails softly @ all my followers. This is just your reminder that I am a very awkward nerd and even if I’m crap at starting conversations and don’t understand small talk, I love you all and love talking to you and am really glad you are here. and if you ever do want to talk, I will love to hear from you and talk about all the obsessions and head canons and plots and anything really. }}

Syx rolled his eyes, “It’s a figure of speech. You are aware of how the sheeple of the city see Metro Man, right? The statue they built? The whole worshipful museum.”

His eye lock on the needles, bouncing between those and her forehead, “You’re… talking from experience I assume?”

Oh, I get that. I once used the word the same way you do, but now I know better. [His description of ‘sheeple’, while thoroughly accurate, is a tad less amusing at the moment. It would have been funnier ten minutes ago. Perhaps later, when she is mulling over this conversation by herself, Wendalyn will find it amusing enough to add the word to her own vocabulary.]

And, yes, I’m speaking from extensive experience. This is just the most I can show in such a public setting. [She hums a thoughtful note.] You don’t seem surprised or confused. I take it you’ve seen the inside of a lab as well?

Syx’s arms drew involuntarily around his torso as he shrank into himself, seeming even smaller than normal. He really didn’t want to think about that but it was too late now. Staring hard at the partially eaten pretzel to muttered, “Yeah.”

 “It was made quite clear to me that only humans have unalienable rights” he snorted, “That lab mice have more rights.”

He took a deep breath through his nose, trying very hard to keep his head level. There were no shadows, no one watching. It was okay. Blue wouldn’t automatically make him a target in this city. Showing skin wouldn’t automatically spell doom. The paranoia wouldn’t rule his life entirely. He felt taut as a bowstring. Ready to run and hide away again. It hadn’t mattered one bit that he’d never seen those men again after he’d gotten away from them. He knew the boogie man was real.

[To see someone react like that always makes Wendalyn feel vindicated in her eccentric behavior and suspicious nature. This is, however, the first time that she has met a blue person who had potentially been through similar circumstances. With a Megamind’s twitchy nature, she knows that he’ll be too distracted to continue a decent conversation if she can’t get him to relax a little.]

Pretty much. [She takes a sharp bite of her pretzel and then shrugs.] But you don’t have much to worry about at the moment. I’ve been razing any questionable labs I can find and Harrison has been attempting to shut these things down from the legal end. There are a few others here who also have a stake in keeping such things out of the city. I can also suggest some failsafes, if you’d like.

“I have a lawyer,” Syx muttered, eyes closed as his fingers rubbed over the leather of his jacket in a soothing way, “I got him on payroll right after. Both Minion and I are legally endangered species and are registered under those protections,” he reached up and rubbed his temples, “Only half the time I can’t reach my lawyer now a days. Too many things overlap and displace each other.”

The multiverse was a horribly confusing place in that regard. Syx worried his lower lip between his teeth and glanced at her, “Failsafes?” his lips curled down, but he was intent, “I’m interested in hearing them at the least. I’ve more than just me to worry about,” his mind going to both Minion and Anna. His mate being a shifter put her in potential danger as well. Anna had already suffered enough with her memory loss.
