Realizing just how badly cracked his mask had become, Syx tried to force his expression to better fit into his villainous role. Expression ending up looking far stiffer and pained then intended, Syx’s voice was harsh even to his ears, “Of course not! Why would there be?”
Jaw set he rose to his feet in a sharp movement. His cape drawn around himself as a protective shield. Home and Minion were the things echoing through his mind. Yet part of him swayed, wanting to spend more time with another member of his own species. The first he’d even known since he came to this miserable rock.
“What happens now?” more asked to himself than to her.
Several of the Brainbots that had been hovering nearby, and more that had been passing by through other rooms, fly in closer to Megamind when the tone in Syx’s voice registers, eye-stalks trained on the unfamiliar not-mommy standing in front of them. It’s an automatic gesture that has Megamind resting her hand on the dome of the nearest, keeping careful attention on Syx as well.
“That’s up to you.” Even if the question was meant to be rhetorical.
His eyes drawn to the brainbots he realized with a frown how hard it was to tell hers from his. Whistling he called to them, “Come to Daddy!”
A few of the bots wheeled off to him, but not nearly all that he’d brought with him. At the very least he now had footage of her lair. Exasperated, he whistled again. To her, he added, “We should discuss some communication standard for if we need to contact the other for whatever purpose. Via brain bot, or secure radio, or… phone?”
“What? No, evil gods no, of course not,” Syx waved his fork, “But there really isn’t any point in the game anymore is there?” he shrugged and sat back just fidgetting with his fork. He hadn’t really even been able to talk much to Minion about this because of their house guest.
Chewing on his lower lip Syx continued, “Wayne’s been lax on the hero thing lately… and I’ve been too busy with Anna to do any grandstanding or big plans… and well… everything’s changed now… With the affair, I can just go over and see him… he’s already my… lover? he doesn’t have to be my nemesis… but it was rather fun, you know? The threat of getting caught when we got a little too hot and heavy in the fights,” he chuckled, he still wasn’t sure how they never got caught sucking each other off inside the Equestrinator, “But now…”
Syx stabbed his pancakes violently, making a mess of them sullenly, “Now he’s just angry or sad all the time and I can’t do anything about it. And it’s just not fun anymore. And god I just want the old days back,” he squeezed his eyes tight, taking a shaky breath, “Miss Ritchi… I’ll miss- …she’ll be thrilled by the news I’m sure. Won’t have me messing up her life plans anymore. AND I’ll be able to focus more without the distraction anyway!” he ranted.
Harrison breathed a sigh of relief…. and then was surprised by it. He’d never thought much of the villain lifestyle, his friendship with the other Megamind notwithstanding. But Syx as a villain just made sense, even if it was mostly a showboat act. The other blue man just seemed so perfectly suited for it. He smiled and leaned in to give the other blue man a kiss on the cheek.
“Don’t scare me like that!” he chides, his voice a playful tease. “I don’t know what I would do without my overlord.” Going back to his own plate of breakfast, Harrison picks up a bacon strip and dredges it through whipped cream before he takes a bite.
“I’m sure Roxanne misses you too,” he says. “Maybe she doesn’t miss the rope burn….. but then again I don’t claim to know her kinks. Girly’s wife certainly seems to like it,” he adds with a wink.
Syx blushed hotly, the fact that a version of him had hooked up with Roxanne hadn’t escaped him. He still found the idea that she could possibly want him baffling. Shrugging the thought off he went back to his food.
“She’ll miss the work perks most but I’m sure I can still coordinate a bit of mayhem for her now and again. Not that it’ll help with everything, but we all knew they wouldn’t keep her as a reporter forever. I’ll… have to give her a heads up, though, make sure she has time to prepare. Made one last big show if Wayne’s up for it…” he rubbed his large forehead with a sigh, “I’m sure I’ll be doing all the work for no pleasure, but we made such good nemeses… it deserves a proper send-off.”
Now that was a revelation that makes Harrison’s brows shoot up. His hand stills on Syx’s back but he doesn’t remove it quite yet. “Are you thinking of retiring from villainy?” he manages to ask, utterly stunned. Of all the Megaminds he’s met, Syx seemed to be the one who had the best handle on it…..
[Wayne just nods politely, not exactly sure where Syx’s rambling is going. Like Harrison, he is curious to find out what the other alien means. Not wanting to distract, he opts to stay silent and let Harrison take the lead. He can get his own breakfast after this is explained.]

With his holowatch firmly in place and activated, Syx strode into the small tattoo parlor wearing his most often used dark skinned face. His afro filling a portion of the space his blue head did in order to help the disguise generator. He found that the less the watch had to drastically fabricate the more realistic the disguise and the longer the charge lasted. Generating flowing hair and clothing he wasn’t actually wearing stressed the-the algorithms in the watch and increased the likelihood he’d end up looking like a CGI character come to life.
Smoothing out his leather jacket, Syx grinned at his uncle and leaned against the counter. Chatting about business and news since he’d been in prison. Passing on messages from those who were still inside.
Noticing Paige coming in he gave her a little wave, heading over toward her and plopping down in her tattoo chair as if he hadn’t turned down every offer she’d ever made to give him one. He flashed her a wide charming smile, green eyes shining.
“Draw up anything new while I was gone?” he always adored seeing her sketches for her designs.
Syx jerk awake violently at the scream, heart racing. Falling bodily out of the chair, he hit his head on the way down, “OW! My giant blue head!”
Curled over, he cradled his cranium on the floor, “damnit,” coming out in a soft whisper. Straightening and looking toward the source of the scream, the blue alien tried to recall what had even happened last night. His memories where haze and disjointed, the bags under his eyes showing how badly he’d slept.
Finally recognizing the woman before him. He must have come to see his Uncle Mickey. It made more sense than the vague recollection of being chased by living shadows and haunting looking mannequins. He murmured, “Oh… heeey… Paige, I don’t suppose you know how I… got here?”
Giant blue… what? Oh dear God..
Paige stared at Megamind in obvious shock, her light brown eyes wide and her mouth gaping open. She didn’t really care that she was staring at the man.. the man who her mind was beginning to realize sounded a whole lot like Syx… and his eyes?
“..Syx..?” She managed to croak out, her breathing shallow “..But.. I..” she shook her head, closing her eyes against the oddity that she saw before her. “No.. no impossible. You just sound like him.”
“Wha…” Syx blinked at her reaction, his blue face going pale. Looking down at his spike gloved hands he his, “Oh shit! Don’t look at me!”
Scrambling up to his feet he looked frantically for his watch and failing that to hide. Finding no options in the small room and with his heart hammering, Syx slumped back against the cupboards. Eyeing her wearily, he tentatively responded, “Y-yes?”
