Guiding Harrison to the invisible car and getting him into the back seat Megamind informed Minion, “Change of plans, we’re doing a kidnapping for information, plan one five thee two B.”

“Sir?” Minion turned his his tank, “Oh. OH?!” he stared wide eyed at Harrison before an impatient sound from Megamind had him spinning back around and hitting the gas, “The B version you said? Right you are boss.”

With the door shut and the brain bots streaming the loot back to the lair, Megamind eyed Harrison again from his seat next to the other blue man, “So your friends with a version of me?” he frowned, “Considering the confusion I’ll assume not the female version.”

Harrison marvels over the invisible car – both the technology of its titular invisibility and the meticulous leather and chrome detailing inside.  He’s never been inside Megamind’s car before, hell the only time he’d seen it was when Megamind had parked it drunk across five spots in his underground garage.  It also gives him something to do while pretending not to listen to Megamind’s conversation with his Minion.

“No.  Well, I am friends with Girly as well,” Harrison explains by way of answering the other blue man’s questions, “but I wasn’t mistaking you for her.  The Megamind I know is a supervillain and a male one at that.  Though before we get too far into the details, I should tell you that if plan one five three two B involves Metro Man, mine is out on paternity leave.  So you’ll probably get Girly or Bruce if you dangle me over a pit of alligators or something.”

Sitting back in the seat, he lets himself get comfortable, putting both hands behind his large blue head with a wide smirk.

“No….” Megamind narrowed his eyes at his captive who seemed far too comfortable. It reminded him of Miss Ritchi only if she was a cocky blue flirt… so nothing like Miss Ritchi, “Interrogations don’t involve Metro Man,” he paused, “Wait, what do you mean yours has paternity leave?“

Harrison’s face lights up as Megamind takes the bait.  “Here,” he offers, reaching for the phone in his inner breast pocket.  “I’ll show you.”  A few quick swipes and he’s pulled up pictures from Devin’s one month photos.  He leans in to show Megamind, practically snuggling up to him.  He’s aware that his personal bubble is probably less than Megamind’s but he’s too excited to care.

“This is my son,” he says proudly as he shows the first few pictures of Devin, mostly naked and sleeping though he is smiling in a few.  “Our son, if you want to be specific.  Both Wayne and I are his biological fathers.”  Next he swipes to a few group shots, posed candids of both men holding the baby, playing with him, and making him smile.  The last shot is Wayne holding Harrison bridal style with Devin on Harrison’s chest, reaching for his papa’s smiling face.  “Wayne took some time off heroing and I took paternity leave from my company so we could be with him.”

Megamind’s eyes grew large as he stared at the small blue child and happy couple, “That’s genetically possible?” he whispered half in horror and half excitement waring within him. He could smell on the other man, who felt like he was practically in Syx’s lap, how much the man adored his mate.

Syx pressed his hand over his stomach, lips working silently. Finally just barely audibly he muttered, “Condoms, specially designed condoms… shouldn’t be too hard… take a mold…” he worried his lower lip between his teeth in his distraction.

As close as they were sitting, faint old scars could be seen on the villain’s face. Pale thin lines on this blue skin. Marks from his youthful piercings in his eyebrows. A scar under his eye. A few others on the bald dome of his head. Collected from past battles over his career.

“It took some genetic tinkering and the help of a surrogate,” Harrison explained quickly.  He could smell a flood of something washing over him from being this close, almost like…. panic.  Yeesh, that will clear out his sinuses.

Instinctively he reaches out with one hand to pat Megamind’s shoulder.  “I can give you the details about the anatomical variations among blue men in Metro City, but first do me a favor and take a deep breath.  Devin wasn’t an accident.”

Syx sagged with relief, not even bothering about the touch for the moment, “Thank fuck,” he murmured before coming back to himself and blushing with how open he’d been around the other man. Shrugging off the contact he frowned, increadibly unsure what to do with the information he’d been given. Churning it through his head he summarized, “The other male Megamind is a villian your… mate? fights. You get kidnapped by him in Miss Ritchi’s place? But you’ve all reached the frienemies stage of the game. Or beyond that?” he narrowed his eyes, “Drake-Scott because your married to Wayne and he must be openly gay. That can’t have gone well for him,” he bit his lip again, “Minion? Just take us to the lair. I highly doubt we need to bother with theatrics.”

The fencing lesson had been going well, Syx was having more fun then he had in ages and this was far better then sparing with a brain bot. Emma however had a bad habit of using far too much strength for the thin blade, so when her lunge missed she punched Syx square in the jaw. His head snapped back as he staggered.

Emma sniffed, rubbing at her nose, “..I’ll try?” She offered, the words incredibly lackluster. She definitely would’t be making him any promises. At all. She quickly drained the last of the lemonade, setting it on the tray. “Thank you Minion,” She chirped with a sincere, warm smile.

Trotting to catch up, her tail curled about behind her in her excitement, “So why is it dangerous?” She prompted, so she at least knew what she was getting herself into

“Because many are highly unstable, unless you like getting electrocuted,” Syx raised an eye brow at his dark haired tiger, “I’m not going to show you any of the actual weapons, but this place is filled with them,” he lead her to his main workshop area. Draft boards littered the space. A drafting desk sat under a cloud of small fluttering cards hung on red string from the rafters. A large curtain wrapped across the room to make it feel warmer and more homely.

‘Emma’ chuckled, the black haired feline following him about. She nearly spoke, when they came into the workshop. Beginning to prowl around it as if she were taking stock of the area, looking at the individual objects.. she felt as if there should be a million questions rattling off her tongue, but none came to her.

“..This is really neat..” she murmured, looking to him. “Is this your think cloud you told me about?”

Syx glanced up at his cloud of index cards, “Yeah, it helps me keep track of what I’m doing, see the big picture.”

They were all well above head height, ladders and stools scattered around his space indicated the blue alien’s method of interacting with his mass of planning walls and the cloud. A hoard of brain bots flew past causing the cards to ripple and spin. Laughing as they spun around them Syx picked up a wrench, waving it at them before throwing it. It was brought back immediately with an eager excitement. One on the bots nudging ‘Emma’ and holding a hammer in its mouth.

“He wants you to throw it,” Syx grinned, “Careful though, eight is my oldest little devil, aren’t you? No bitey Tiger now. Play nice for Daddy,” he cooed at his creation.

Emma however had a bad habit of using far too much strength for the thin blade, so when her lunge missed she punched Syx square in the jaw. His head snapped back as he staggered.

Syx laughed easily and took up a glass himself, “Well if you do we’ll just have to find a way to burn off that energy,” he waggled his eyebrows at her.

“I can give you a bit of a tour while we both cool off,” he downed his glass and gave it back to Minion, “No touching though unless I say it’s alright. Most of this stuff is very dangerous or experimental,” he started off slowly waiting for her to follow, today he was wearing just tight black pants and a tank top. He had over the elbow gloves but they were spikeless.

“This isn’t last week.” she answers calmly, that calm not lasting very long with Syx’s panic.

Megamind does what she can then to keep him from panicking further. “I’m afraid it has.” she continues, speaking slower this time. “But this isn’t the same Metrocity you remember.” Or the one she remembered, at first. Getting used to being here was going to be an experience, if he would give it that opportunity.

“FUCK!” Megamind shouted in frustration not even caring that he broke character. His image be damned, he was pissed, “Look you, and fine you’re Megamind, the as far as you’re concerned I’m Mr. god damn fucking Blue! And if you say you’re that too then you should damn well know why I’m pissed!”

Snapping his eyes up to his brain bots he ordered quickly, “Finish the tagging, one three two, take the video feed to Minion. Ninety eight, scout.” his eyes dropped to his double as he crossed his arms with a scowl, “If I have to take over this city again inch by inch so be it,” he could already feel the headache mounting at the very idea, “I did it before I can do it again.”

Right when that outburst starts, Megamind’s own Brainbots hover closer to her, fully defensive and prepared to protect her if need be. She herself doesn’t look happy, de-gun again trained on Syx.

“You will not.” she responds quickly, not at all willing to have someone else move in and cause problems.

Syx narrowed his eyes at her, “I refuse to let my city fall back into chaos,” his voice low and dangerous, lacking the flair of his public persona, “It took me far too long to beat down the rogue elements, to halt Psycho, to turn this city into something more then a corrupt cesspit! I will not stand idly by and let it fall to chaos again! I don’t care if you think yourself a hero or a villian,” he growled, every inch the man that had grown up in the high security prison yard, “Metrocity is mine.”
