Minion closed up the lid to the box now filled with fish and turned to the stranger. Well, that was certainly new… A fish man? Swap monster? Alien? Mutant?

Setting aside the ice chest, he gave the being a little wave, “Hello?”

Blinking against the now brighter light, hesitation rules Azlariel’s actions. The Minion in front of him didn’t seem to be the one he’d met before, the suit new. That he so far seems to not be a threat is helpful, trilling softly to himself before returning the greeting. Waving in return. “Hello,” is his parroted and quieter, accented, response.

Minion perked up with the other beings response, “You are a person! I’ve never run into much out in the lake before, which always confused me considering the historical rumors around the lake, but Sir always says-”

Oh, he was doing it again. He really was horrible at the villainous secrets thing. Minion was just far too helpful of a fish.

“-Anyway, Minion, hench-fish extraordinaire,” he informed the new being, “You?”

Syx had been anxiously planning this for weeks. A big grand romantic gesture. He’d been so nervous that she was going to figure out his plans as he stayed up late each night, building and plotting, his idea cloud and cork boards filled with his thoughts. Luckily his notes tended to be a disorganized array of disjointed thoughts and often even Minion had a hard time tracking them.

But now it was ready. With Minion’s help, he’d packed a picnic basket with food and wines. Cubed in the pack were blankets and other supplies he’d need to set everything up once they’d reach the destination. He could just fly them there on the hover bike, but the plan was to hike through the woods to get to the secluded overlook near the sand dunes by the beach. The journey being as important to him as the arrival. Timed out just perfectly so that at a good pace they would arrive right before sunset.

He wanted everything to be perfect for his tiger.

Within the pack too, had been his obsession. Something he’d been building for her over the course of the last months. Every time he thought he was done, another idea had crept up. A new necessary addition. Now, though, it was perfect. Or at least as perfect as he could make it without her input. Positively as giddy as he was anxious for her reaction, Syx made his way to Anna.

Watching her from the doorway with a lazy smile for a moment, he walked up and wrapped his arms around his mate. Humming and kissing her neck, he murmured, “Ready for our grand adventure, my tempting tiger?”

Anna had sensed that something was up.. not that she knew just what it was that Syx was planning, but she knew her mate well enough to know when he had something up his sleeve. No matter the fact that he was fluttering around the lair like a nervous butterfly.. but the fact that he seemed so excited about whatever he was building was another fair indication.

Despite the somewhat colder weather of the changing seasons, Anna didn’t bother to wear heavier clothing that day.. she was able to maintain her body temperature even when it was like this.. it would need to get a bit colder before she woudl begin to wear heavier clothing.

She looked over at Syx over her shoulder with a small smile, making a soft noise in the back of her throat as she leaned her head against his, the best she could do from this angle with him hugging her from behind.

“I believe I am,” She assured him, chuckling softly, “Do I get to know what we are doing yet?” She prompted, straightening fully to turn in his arms. Her own went to wrap around him, smiling tenderly at him before pressing a kiss to his lips.

“Weeeell,” Syx drawled out, running his fingers over her sides, “It’s going to start with a short drive over to the state park, then some hiking, and well I wont ruin then surprise,” he bounced back and held a finger in the air dramatically, “Buuuuut it does involve carefully selected foods and procured adult beverages and the stars,“ he waggled his brows at her as he bit his lip, “So I would highly recommend comfortable footwear,”

He rocked back on his heels, as giddy for the fruition of this plan as he’d ever been with any of his plots. It was heady, the nervous excitement and the wonder of how his audience would react to the grand unveiling. As a result, he was a tremendous ball of energy as he bounced about.

Dressing more sensibly for the trip, he’d donned a minimally spiked outfit with a simple black dress shirt, leather pants with a few decorative studs, and his trademark comfortable leather boots. His hands were even glove free for the day, he wouldn’t deny himself the skin contact. Not today.

Taking a quick up and down examination of the dress Roxanne was wearing, Megamind’s natural bravado kicks in, feeling the need still to show off while in public. “Of course I did,” she exclaims, playing it up for the crowd that was starting to reappear from where they’d hidden when the fight started.

Hearing that Roxanne had been worried, though, she draws it back somewhat. Not yet realizing this one wasn’t wearing the matching ring she’d designed. “I would hope you were.”

Sliding into an easy smirk at the bravado, it reminded her so much of Megamind when things were going his way, “Is the goal always to impress me, then?”

“You make a much better hero than you do a villian,” she ducked her head a bit, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She remembered the cameras and held herself back from saying more, “It’s refreshing.”

Brows raising, she honestly looks surprised hearing that. “Well, I would hope so, having several years of practice!” Though it was strange to hear that from Roxanne, and it doesn’t take Megamind that much longer to clue in to a potential reason why. Glancing down again toward the woman’s hands in order to confirm that particular suspicion.

Another new one? Well then.

Noticing Megamind’s eyes drawn to her hands, Roxanne held them up and looked them over in confusion. An eyebrow raised in silent questions after finding nothing strange. Finally it clicks, “Oh! Oh sorry! You thought I was-” she put a hand over her mouth and chuckled in embarrassment, “Afraid not. Mine’s male.”

“What? Not good enough for you,” Bluebell demanded in a huff. Stalking over to the escaping dragon, she rushed to block it n from getting away from her, “We are going on a magical adventure even if I have to kidnap you. You aren’t required to enjoy it, but I have been waiting my whole life for this shit. Got it bucko?”

All of her childhood wishes had failed. No one had come down on a spaceship to save her. Her parents hadn’t secretly lived. The world hadn’t magically become more accepting. She hadn’t suddenly woken up to be normal one day. But she had just met a mother fucking dragon and she was going an a fucking magical adventure even if it landed her in lock up again.

“Lady, get a head check, I ain’t going on any sort of adventure with anyone.” Especially not nutjobs. “You can either buy a ticket to Disneyland or find a drug dealer, heard the LSD is going in for cheap,” he huffed.

Since he checked last time with the owl, he still could fly, so… flying escape was it. He started to inhale in case he needed a sudden jet of air to get away from her.

“Hey!” Bluebell shouted, watching the dragon try and escape. Freeing her de-gun in a smooth motion she pointed it at the fleeing dragon, “Didn’t your mother ever tell you it’s bad for your health to say no to a super villain?”

She put on her Megamind voice, giving him a good evil laugh as she squeezed the trigger on the dehydration setting to turn him into a little blue cube.
