Syx burst out laughing, “No, no, I know what you mean, and I am very thankful for the offer,” he grabbed Harrison’s hands to still them, “When the time comes I will gladly borrow your research, but Anna will be the one getting pregnant. Definitely.”
There was no way Syx could imagine anything involving an egg and himself… and best not to think too hard about how they’d need to get his dna for the baby. Speaking of dna, he chewed his lip, “I suppose that the testing before all that will let us know if Anna’s abilities are genetic or not. I haven’t finished any of my testing equipment for that. I got sidetracked.”
Harrison’s cheeks are still flushed with embarrassment but having Syx steady his fluttering hands helps. He remembers to breathe for starters. “Anna…. that’s your…. girlfriend? She lives with you?” he asks. He’s never been entirely clear about the nature of that relationship and now seems as good a time as any to clear things up. “And things are serious enough with her that you’d consider having a child with her?”
Nodding, Syx’s cheeks colored a light lavender. He thread his fingers with Harrison’s as he spoke, “She’s the calm to my chaos and the hammer to my stubbornness. I’m thinking I’m going to ask her to be my Evil Queen. She’s already been living with us and just, god Harrison. She’s perfect and gorgeous. She loves me and she accepts this,” he held up their squeezed together hands, “She even helped pick out my outfit for tonight. And yeah,” his blush darkened, “We haven’t talked about it in earnest, but we both want kids. Well, she tends to put it as growing our pack. It’s a wolf thing.”
