Syx looked up at her with big pleading green eyes and pulled closer for comfort. He ran his claw tipped fingers over his fur, trying to part it, somehow still hoping to find blue skin under it all. A low noise of distress still continued, but at least he wasn’t alone.

Anna could scent the distress that he felt, feeling the sensation of pack settling in further in her chest even if she wasn’t aware of it. Taking in a deep breath, the sensation of home so damn strong she could almost smell the scent of wet earth and pine needles. A touch disoriented of the fact, Anna moved to gently cup beneath Syx’s long jaw, drawing him to look over towards her. “We will figure this out, alright..?” she urged softly, combing her fingers through his fur in a manner her instincts knew to be how she herself liked the best.

Between one breath and the next her form rippled and shifted, a wolf with fur as deep as a moonless sitting beside Syx now. Making a low grumbling noise in the back of her throat, one meant to soothe him further she shifted to move close and nose beneath his jaw, shifting to get closer.

Sucking in a breath of surprise through his nose that came out more like a snort, Syx shifted to accommodate is now wolfy black mate. Nuzzling into her fur, he let out a small ‘woof’ and soft comfortable grumbles. She’d always smelled so wild and free and so very Anna in her wolf form. With his new nose it there was so much more to that now. In some ways far less than he could smell before, in others far more. He could smell himself on her, the sheets she’d slept in, the Lair and the things she’d touched, hints of the food she’d had. Her emotions and her Anna’ness were still there… but much of the subtle detail was lost.

Burying his nose into her fur, Syx snuffled his mate. Moving his nose around her with interest as he sought what his senses could no longer give him. And to marvel over all the olfactory information he was now getting.
