Syx barely noticed the pea soup, though part of his mind realized Minion would be happy that he was actually eating some vegetables. He still refused to believe they were actually any good.
“All thoroughly tested, of course,” he bit his finger, eyes smoldering once the waiter left. The look on Harrison’s face was beyond perfect, he wanted to memorize it forever. God, it was unfair how gorgeous the other was. And shutting down the beautiful mind was beyond priceless.
The last question left him blinking, wondering why it would matter. With a slight crease to his brow, he shrugged a shoulder, “I’ve used 769 with Anna a couple times. He’s actually rather new. I had to retire a few of them from duty over the years,” Syx grimaced, “121 was much better as a fencing practice dummy than allowed anywhere near anything meant to be inside of me. But they were all programmed for me.”
Idly dipping a spoon into the soup, and experimenting with the unique shapes, he added, “I added new setting to 769 to account for human anatomy which is why he’d be the better choice than the ones meant just for me.”
He blushed a bit at the idea of admitting just how long he’d been using settings. Though Harrison was uniquely unlikely to judge him for masturbating to Metro Man. And if he wasn’t lying to himself, Roxanne as well.
Harrison took a bite of his soup, relishing the bright taste that made him think of spring. But even the delicious taste couldn’t cut through his rising anxiety. “So there’s me, and your Wayne but that’s over now, and this Anna?” he asked, his brow furrowing slightly. Syx had mentioned Anna before but he’d never asked for details. Syx had said that sexual relationships outside a few quick prison fucks were new territory for him.
“I’m just trying to get a lay of the land….. of how I fit into your…. relationships,” he finally said awkwardly, already regretting this turn in conversation. Oh well there was nothing to do now that the hole was dug. “And the things you like. Boundaries. I mean, we never really talked much about… that.”
Syx frowned deeply, just swirling his spoon in the bowl, “I know I’ve mentioned Anna before. She’s been living at the Lair even before I crashed at your place that time,” actually the troubles that had been going on had been part of the reason he hadn’t been ready to go back to the Lair that night, “She’s mine. My mate.”
“You’re married,” he said more defensively than he really meant to, “Sorry I… Wayne and I… He left… no, that’s not true. I left…” Syx sighed, pressing his face into his hands, “He never fought with me but I could tell he wanted to. About Anna. He wanted to be my one and only and I just can’t do that,” he looked pleadingly up at Harrison, “I love Anna dearly. But I… love you too,” he wrung his hands together, “I thought… I mean… you’re married! You understand this, right?”
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” the villain laughed bitterly, “I’ve dated three people and that’s including you,” he didn’t count fooling around in prison. That wasn’t ever love, it had barely been sex they way most defined it.
