He’s still looking between Syx and the water, recognizing the type of gesture the other alien was using. Even if the words weren’t anything he knew, that at least he did. Focusing more fully on the older being, he blinks, eyes briefly greying with the motion.
Repeating the greeting, this time it’s expanded, rapidfire questions about where he was, what Syx was saying, what it meant. Still fearful and wary, despite that he chances inching closer.
Syx blinked at the little being. Tipping his head he recognized that the sounds were likely language but he couldn’t understand any of it. Clearly, it wasn’t anything used on Earth. He looked up to where Minion was inside, calling out quietly as to not disturb the little child.
“Minion?” he barely raised his voice, “Minion, come here but do it quietly. I don’t want to scare it? him? her? away.”
Syx’s motion has the child shying away a step again, solid-black eyes focused on the blue teenager. Different, true, but whether that difference was safe he didn’t know.
Had to take that chance, focus momentarily flickering away toward the water before trilling softly and stepping within arm’s reach.
“Ah!” Syx involuntarily shouted as the little fish baby came closer. He put his arms out to intercept it, “Hey, hey now.”
While trying to catch the toddler? in case he bolted, Syx missed Minion’s arrival. In his rough and bulky suit, his steps were loud and heavy as came up holding a coat he planned on forcing on his ward, “Please don’t tell me you found another dog, Sir.”
