❝ You’re her, aren’t you? ❞

Roxanne paused, looking towards the young blue girl. Yet another blue person she’d run into now. Well, supposedly there were any number throughout the city.

Shifting her purse strap back up onto her shoulder as she turned, Roxanne lifted an eyebrow, with a soft laugh, “Am I Roxanne from channel 8? Yeah.”

Roxanne smiled back at the girl uncertainly holding one arm, “Not everyday you meet someone from television?” she hazard a guess, but considering the blue skin she had to wonder, “Are you… related to Megamind? Or…?”

Taking about doubles and duplicates and gender swapped versions and parallel universes made her feel crazy. So related seemed a safe in between that had multiple interpretation.

“Mm-mm,” Lucy answers, to both of Roxanne’s questions. “Not really related to, um.” Hard to explain how that wouldn’t really work, at least in a way that wasn’t confusing. Roxanne seemed pretty nice, anyway, for someone with that kind of well-known presence in the city.

“Why?” May as well ask.

“I just haven’t met many others here that… well…” actually acknowledge the strange multidimensional nature of the city, she finished silently. Speaking with Harrison had at least made her feel less crazy. A deep regret settled in her stomach, she blamed her poor sleep for her snappish tone with the man. She could see in hindsight that she’d stepped over several lines. Yet the idea that he could be complacent in the concept of children being raised in prison still unsettled her greatly.

Focusing on the girl before her, Roxanne smoothed her hands over her skirt, “Mostly I only know my Megamind. As far as blue people go,” she really hoped that term was appropriate, “If you don’t mind my nosy reporter instincts, I’d love to get the chase to talk to you. Completely confidential, of course.”
