The storm raged over Metro City, lightning cracking overhead. Dashing for the cover of an awning, Roxanne cursed the fact that her mode of transportation was a little yellow scooter. The gas mileage was great and it was so easy to get around the city… until days like this. Hunching in her dark jacket, she rubbed her arms to stay warm, making idle conversation with the woman next to her, “I hate these freak storms this time of year. The weather has been so bad this fall.”
“I dono. It’s electrifying to watch.” The blue stranger replied in trance, dressed in a man’s orange rain coat, locks and long thick braid soared out from her collar with the stirring energy in the air, filling her up, radiating intensity.
The sky cracked again, followed by thunder. The explosive existence laughed luxurious, glancing over on the new arrival under the shielding stair case and eye’s wived wide, intrigued. “oooh, aren’t you the reporter Roxanne Ritchi?”
Roxanne wasn’t ever surprised when people recognized her, it came with being a local celebrity, “That’s me, Channel 8 reporter and professional ‘damsel’,” she gave a wry grin, damsel coming out with a sarcastic roll of her tongue, “You have me at a but of a disadvantage, though.”
Turning to the woman her paused as she saw a sliver of blue skin in a flash of lightning, her eyes widened. Trying to cover her shock at a female blue person, and that said blue person had hair, she chided herself. Of course there where more, Harrison had already told her such.
