Megamind rubbed his hands over his face. He’d already finished a night of Halloween activities and had really been just looking forward to a quiet night in the Lair with his loved ones. Was that so much to ask.
“So you wandering into my Lair is just entirely by accident? No evil plots?” he sighed. Maybe she was just a homeless new villain in the city.
“I’ll be right back with some cookies then Miss,” Minion added brightly, making a note to at least bring Sir his cape. He knew hope naked the blue alien felt without it when talking to the public.
Sarah nodded her head, continuing to very gently run her fingers over the cover of the book before she felt yet another smile tug at the very corner of her lips and despite herself she giggled before shaking her head.
“Yes thou is correct and yes there are no evil plots coming from me. It was my sister Winifred whom came up with with the plots back when she was still alive”
Sitting back in the chair, the young witch felt her heart pounding from the inside of her chest and for some odd reason it grew harder to keep her breathing in check, it seemed that every time she every mentioned her sisters she just couldn’t control her emotions any more.
At Minion’s direction, a brain bot appeared and draped Megamind’s caped mantle over his shoulders. Shifting the spiked leather around, the blue villain brushed the high collar up into place feeling more comfortable already. His shoulders back, he moved with more confidence and he paced the witch. The brain bot nuzzled into his arms for petting.
Stroking the bot’s dome, Megamind mused, “You don’t have any family here then?” he frowned, “Do you have any plans at all?”
He tried to remind himself not to get involved. This wasn’t his mess to deal with. Minion arrived just in time, toting a plate of warm sugar cookies decorated in holiday themes. He leaned down offers the plate towards their captive.
“There you are, Miss” Minion beamed, ever the helpful and bubbly hench-fish.
