He’d asked it in jest but the look on her face still twisted Megamind’s heart. Taking a step back he schooled his features and tried to hide the pang of disappointment. Chin lifted, he laughed, “Oh ho ho, you say that now, but one day you’ll realize Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes is lacking luster.”
It was easier to joke about what you couldn’t have, the Hero and the Damsel. They were both good and right and fit. He wasn’t bitter at all.
With a dramatic sweep of his cape, Megamind turned toward the door and gave her an approving look, “I’m to take it you find yourself presentable, Miss Ritchi?”
Her brow furrowed gently as she awarded him her full attention she’s silent for a moment, she finds most of their conversations are fairly predictable but that didn’t seem to stop her from allowing a smile to trace across her features as she followed him towards the door a little skip in her step it was though she was trying to get into her Halloween costume personality if only for a little while at the very least.
She gave him a gentle but still firm nod of her head to show that she was ready to go, while the unbidden smile instantly turned into a smirk though she didn’t show it she was actually quite intrigued to know what type of plan he had in store for her, Metro Man and the rest of the city tonight.
Leading her out to wear the invisible car was parked, Megamind was quickly running everything he needed to still do through his head. Leaving the car invisible it took him a moment to feel out the handle, Opening it, he presented her with the bag, “You’re potato sack, Miss Ritchi?”
It was actually the first time it wasn’t a potato sack, but the bag, and her complaints about the bag, had become tradition in his mind.
