“I- what? Ugh…” Megamind rubbed his large forehead, “Playing stupid isn’t going to earn you point, though I must commend your ability to stay in character. Gorgeous presentation and the costuming really is spot on,” he continued encouragingly and he approached, making shooing motions towards the door. 

As he got closer, however, he froze, his eyes widening. What he had taken for a simple prop… was looking at him…

“Wha- that…” his mouth worked but nothing coherent came out, “That’s… a neat… effect?” he tried hopefully.

When she very quickly took notice of his attention drawing towards her eldest sister’s precious book that the youngest Sanderson sister held in her hand in a tight but also gentle grip as though the book in itself was weight worth in such gold and it gave her some form of comfort within tough situations as though her sisters were actually here with her at this very moment. 

“Why thank thee.. but I must confess that this is not a costume not at all though I must thank thee for the compliments none the less..” Sarah chirped while another wild giggle escaped from her before she could try to stop it. Unfortunately, Sarah had not been born with the knowledge of when to keep her mouth shut. 

“Oh you like the book.. It’s my sister’s” She purred using a motherly type of tone in her voice when she turned her own attention to the book she held in her hands after she tucked her broom safely under the nook of her underarms. “This book was given to my sister by the devil himself. It contains recipes for powerful and evil spells and nothing good can come from this book”   

Swallowing, his mind raced… devil spells? Fuuuuuuuuck. Why magic? And now some new stranger who didn’t even have the courtesy NOT be in his home. 

“Oh!” Megamind let out a nervous chuckle, “Evil book, how positively bad. What exactly are you planning to do with it?”

“Also… evil god, why are you in my Evil Lair? I don’t take visitors to my secret hideout,” which was a complete lie, but she didn’t need to know that he’d now had plenty of visitors, invited or not.
