Looking over towards the graffitied covered brick wall of the seemingly abandoned large building she had stumbled across while flying on her broomstick in the night sky, before she could even think about what she was doing not that she ever did Sarah skipped over towards the wall stepping over the doormat as though she never even noticed it. Suddenly as she grew closer the bricks shimmered then blued and they wrapped around her opening to reveal a dark ante chamber with a set of doors marked the wall further down.
Surprised, Sarah crossed the floor to the doors setting her hand on one of the doors and pushed it creaked as it swung open the hinge long rusted where the hall held shadows and very dim light flithered through the old dirted windows, the chamber she entered glimmered with sunlight suffused through yellowed windows high above, monitors, strange metal workings, half assembled creations and cluttered workspaces and a clear path through it all surrounded her.
The brain bots were the first to notice the intruder, BOWGing loudly and aggressively. Three approached her, trying to circle the strange woman. Their noise drew Megamind’s attention. He came out into the secondary work area dressed casually in an over large concert tee and light jeans and fuzzy bat slippers, his face becoming an ‘O’ of shock seeing the witch.
“MINION! You left the door unlocked! One of those ghoulish sheeple got in!” he shouted in utter panic over his shoulder.
From the kitchen, the smell of baking sugar cookies filled the air, “No, I’m fairly certain you were the last in Sir after we dropped off Ma’am,” Minion’s voice floating out, “Besides I thought you wanted to hand out candy?”
“NOT IN THE LAIR!” Megamind shouted back hysterically before rounding to face the witch, “Hahahaha! Yes, tricks and or treat, you may not collect a sweet offering on your way out of the door and never tell anyone you were ever here,” he tried to find the knockout spray without taking his eyes off of her.
