Megamind had the absolutely perfect idea for Halloween. It had taken ages to get the giant jack-o-lantern bot up and running, but finally, he had. Just in the knick of time. Even the brain bots had been outfitted with an orange glow to add to the holiday theme for his unveiling of the Pum-King! All that was left was getting Miss Ritchi in place and calling Metro Man in.
Only Miss Ritchi wasn’t home. He’d even gone himself in order to show off his costume to the night. A grand thing with a huge mantle and a tattered edge on his cape. The design a cross between his normal attire and a Dracula costume, complete with the waistcoat cut. The look was striking he thought, especially with the more extreme eyeliner. He’d wanted to scare her when she opened the door to give candy, posing as a tricker-treater.
But she had the audacity to be gone when he had plans for them and he didn’t even know where. In frustration, he stood on her balcony, looking down at the costumed figures going by. He was about to call Minion for help when he noticed someone approaching the building that gave him pause. He squinted down at her with a frown, was that…?
Roxanne let out a soft breath and she just couldn’t help herself but to smile as many costumed children and adults alike walked or ran excitedly passed her for the getting free candy and having fun. Blue eyes shined with the moonlight, her purple, dark pink and golden almost tattered skirt of the bottom part of her costume and the cape blew around her legs in the gentle breeze of the wind as she began to make her way inside into the entrance of the apartment building.
Once she got inside and out of the cold weather not that she minded it of course, Roxanne immediately headed over towards the elevator moments later she was back in her very own apartment home when she took the notice of her balcony door being wide open she raised an eyebrow she didn’t remember leaving that open before she went out. “Hello? Is.. anybody out there?” she called out.
With her brows narrowed in confusion she slowly trudged towards her balcony leaving the long blonde wig still on the top of her head where it had been for nearly four hours this night, she peered outside and she saw the very familiar super villain Megamind standing on her balcony. Great just want I needed, she thought sarcastically.
“I’d rather not be kidnapped due to being tired Megamind. My feet are killing me and I’ve been partying mostly all night..” She knew her attempts would be useless but at least it was good enough to try for she already knew that he would never reject a kidnapping anyway especially on Halloween. There was no choice for her.
Hearing the door to the apartment open, Megamind drew his cape around himself. Standing tall as Roxanne came to the balcony he said haughtily, “You can scream all you like Miss Ritchi, but your convenience is hardly of my concern!”
“Your dallying has already put my schedule drastically behind,” he faulted, though, really getting a look at her. Green eyes narrowing, “What are you…”
He’d hardly recognized her in the blond wig. The worst part was he could swear he should know the costume but he couldn’t place Damn it looked familiar, though! Shaking it off, he raised his chin, “Evil doesn’t take a night off.”
