Who’s Side Are You On Anyway?

Todd had never been the best at this whole hero thing. Not that he wanted to either! But people had seen the red-head running around in a fox suit and suddenly everyone was quick to jump to the conclusion that The Fox was friendly. Inside a week the news was reporting that the teenager had begun biting fingers and slaying people who… didn’t have any criminal histories. Not that they knew of anyway.

Todd always made sure to cover his tracks, make sure the cops knew why he had done what he did and most of the time it worked in getting him away from the cops. He was, after all, just a teenager. A homeless one in fact –– which made tracking down Todd Rebane even more complicated than it was to track the Fox.

He had come to this residence with one goal in mind. He had wanted to find out what happened to a few of the top crooks he had been hunting. Some of them just outright disappeared –– and Metro-Man along with them… He figured he’d start at Miss Richie’s place. Turns out Mega-Mind had a similar idea. Looming around the corner of the apartment complex, Todd pressed his back to the wall and looked around the corner with a grin.

❛ Psssssttt. ❜ A small little voice came from Todd’s shoulder. His Kwami –– a miniature God, which helped him become the fox –– was trying to get his attention. Todd only gave him a quick glance but that didn’t stop the Kwami. ❛ Think we can take him? ❜ Zipp asked, snickering. Todd rolled his eyes and poked the Kwami’s nose, who simply looked like a fox beanie-baby.

❛ Shush. ❜ Todd says, looking back around the corner with curiosity. He found himself growing bold and he slowly came around the corner, whistling loudly. Though apparently not loud enough. He came to stand directly below the balcony before he whistled sharply to get their attention.

❛ Eh! ❜ He shouts, just in case. ❛ Ya know I might have some info about that, Blue-Butt. ❜

The whistle finally caught Megamind’s attention along with the shout. Leaning over the edge, he glared down. Just great, another costumed person to deal with. Fox… why did that sound familiar.

“Know your turf orange-face! I assure you this isn’t it. Miss Ritchi is already taken,” he shouted down referring to both the fact that she was ‘dating’ a hero and his exclusive kidnappee.

Roxanne threw her hands up, dripping with sarcasm, “Oh just perfect.”
