All the giggling had Megamind rather worried, swallowing his voice dropped lower, “Your… have you… been drinking, Miss Ritchi?”

He didn’t let go of her hand, but it was the only thing he could think of. It was far more common to see her snarking at him and alternating between coyly complimenting his genius and verbally assaulting him for his ‘idiot schemes’ then it was to see this softer side. It made him wonder which was the real her. Though the answer was likely all of them together… and maybe more he hadn’t even seen yet. He swallowed again, he did want to know her more… but… if she was drunk, what happened if she regretted him in the morning. Letting him see her like this. His being in her apartment. 

His hesitation warred through him as he stood frozen in place.

“Why, of course I haven’t been drinking well I have but not enough to get myself drunk” Roxanne denied with a very soft and sweet smile and before she could do anything about it she could feel her cheeks flush at the very idea of her being drunk with her kidnapper inside her apartment with her. She no longer cared about the crimson blush in her cheeks that he would most likely be able to see very well. 

“Wow..okay did it suddenly just get really hot out here or was that just me? Why don’t we head inside?” she released a nervous laugh and she quickly released his hand and walked back inside her apartment mentally wanting to slap her own forehead. 

With all the strange changes happening around the city recently, Megamind could only wonder is this was one of them. Roxanne being so much more relaxed. But then he wasn’t actually kidnapping her right now, that was bound to help improve someone’s mood, drinking or not.

“Oh… sure, yes, right,” following after her, the villain slid the patio door shut after them, leaning on the glass. He suddenly felt almost as if he was the one getting kidnapped this time. Mentally he kicked himself. It was just a house and it was hardly like she could make him do anything he didn’t want to… he swallowed. He was far too weak to those blue eyes.
