Having just dropped down to the balcony, Megamind froze. He knew Roxanne could sing, but hadn’t ever really heard her before. Not like this. Pulling his cape around him, the villain crept closer to the wall until he was leaning on the frame of the patio door, just listening.
‘Love’… he wondered who she was singing about, or maybe she just loved that movie. He had to admit Hercules was a very well build cartoon character, but then again Syx did seem to have a type when it came to men… But he couldn’t resist pretending, just for a moment as he listened.
God, he was being a creep. This was borderline stalker behavior and Miss Ritchi would definitely throw things at him for that. Sucking in a deep breath, Syx put on his game face and shook himself into character.
“Why Miss Ritchi!” Megamind spun out into view with a flutter of cap and a wide grin as he clapped his hands together, “I must say your performance is quite splendid, bravo.”
His voice impossible to miss in the wake of the song she was singing quite happily, made Roxanne drop the beautiful red rose and about-face so quickly that she nearly lost her balance, Her blue eyes went wide at the sight of him and she froze with the corner of her blue night gown and her robe caught around one of her legs.
She didn’t really expect him to come for her tonight realising she was twisted the edges of her robe nervously she stopped then she straightened her spine, put her hands upon her hips and looked at the handsome blue man before her.
A single brow arched up faintly before she offered him a weak laugh, an uncertain but still lightly thankful smile coming upon her lips. “Uh, I didn’t realise you were even here. But I must thank you for the compliments Megamind..What are you doing here anyway at this time of the night?”
Megamind bit his lip at the sight of her nightgown, oops… was it really that late?
Trying to brush off his mistake, he chuckled, “I’m a super villain, Miss Ritchi, your comfort and schedule are hardly my concerns.”
Honestly, he wasn’t even sure why he was here. His excuse was mostly that he was in the area and gearing up for a new fight with Metro Man soon… but he really had no good reason to be on her balcony.
