Good Morning Sunshine

Harrison was about to say he’d be happy to help design a system so errant brainbots can find their way home, but then Syx nearly cold clocks him.  He quickly ducks, ensuring that the other blue man doesn’t make contact.  He may not be a natural fighter, but he does still work with Makk on self defense twice a week.

“Wayne has a nemesis and I have a friend named Megamind,” Harrison replies, not sure how he feels about Syx’s attitude or the abrupt change in subject.  The fact that he’s practically ducking punches doesn’t seem to bode well.  Nor does Syx’s martyr complex.  “And yes, he has a tongue piercing.”

[Wayne frowns at Syx and the implication that only Syx could fix things. It’s not like there weren’t plenty of other competent heroes and villains within the city. It’s not just this Megamind’s city anymore and the man is going to have to learn that sooner or later. And, if the man wants to be obtuse about it, then he might just have to teach Syx before someone does in a much rougher way.]

[Quietly eating his pancakes, he watches the pair chat. It’s always nice being dismissed. At least it’s a good opportunity to compare Megaminds. His Megamind is certainly less of a self-centered jerk.]

Syx pulled back in on himself thoughtfully, “Right, right, so I mean there are at least three actual Megaminds including me”

He rubbed his forehead and sighed. He could feel Harrison’s disapproval like a creeping up his back. It made him keenly aware of the tone of the room. This is why he preferred to work at a distance from people unless he was used to them.

He busied his hands with his coffee and tried to press on, “Girly was confused too. I’m… seriously the only Megamind that tried to do anything to fix the city?” the very idea stabbed at him, “No one else cared?”

He’d worked so hard. Even when he had to do it from the shadows. Even when the people he helped would reject him if he’d given it to them with his own blue hand. He’d built it all from the ground up. Just him, Minion, his creation and his few Uncles. He never meant for it to get so complicated, so huge. He supposed he should be happy that it fell apart… but now it just seemed like everything he’d done had been pointless if there was nothing to even show for it.
