[Wayne can tell through their bond that Harrison has at least partly figured out what he’s thinking due to the mild amount of disapproval. At least Harrison isn’t telling him no. That means that either Harrison agrees with his point of view to some degree or, at least, doesn’t seem to think that it will be a disaster.]
[Syx’s question has him pausing with a forkful of pancakes halfway to his mouth. Wayne grins back at Syx, though his is less innocent than the villain’s.] He doesn’t have to, but I’m pretty sure I can persuade him to listen. I’ve talked sense into another version of myself once before. So what’s another?
“Excellent,” Harrison replied with a grin. Syx was happy. Wayne was happy. Okay, Syx’s Wayne might end up getting punched in the face, but if he truly was behaving as Syx said, that might not be a bad thing. As long as Wayne didn’t want to punch Syx in the face…..
“So now that that’s settled, lets talk shop. I think Wayne should hear about your approach to villainy in Metro City,” he prompted, looking pointedly at his mate. They were going to have to discuss business sooner or later and Harrison would rather just get it out of the way.
Feeling a sense of relief, Syx went back to his food. It was a wonderful to not be alone in this matter, to have more people who understood relationships, especially odd ones. Often his Uncles advice was… suspect or unhelpful and Minion had less experience than Syx did when it came to relationships.
Mouth full, Syx choked at Harrison’s topic change. Thumping his chest with a sputter, “Ah… I… okay?” he should have known this would come up… but he’d never talked villainy with Wayne outside of their slowly setting up the rules they’d abide by, “I could run down the rules of the game and villains code? I had a similar discussion with uh… Girly?” he looked to Harrison for confirmation on the nickname for the female Megamind, “when I first got here. Otherwise, if there’s something more you need to know…”
It was one thing to mention the rest of his business with Harrison, but he was suddenly incredibly self-conscious about speaking about his work as Mr. Blue with a Wayne. He offered up a somewhat nervous smile, “I’d like to hear about how your ‘game’ differs from mine as well, if it does, that is. Girly gave me the impression things were very similar for her, but I know she’s a hero know… which is frankly baffling…”
