Megamind had been performing a steak-out. Sitting on the roof of a nearby building. He’d had brain bots watching the place and tonight should have been the night. A gang had been planning on moving very dangerous weapons through his city and he could allow that.Â
The night had dragged on. Too many long nights that he’d been building new machines and tracking this potential shipment. His eyes drooped and he was asleep before he knew it.Â
He was falling …up… the ground disappearing beneath him until Earth was nothing but a marble in the black inkiness of space. His heart seized. No! Nooo! Not again!
Jerking wildly as he awoke, Megamind blinked in confusion at the face that swam into his vision. The expression making it hard to understand who he was looking at, memories blurring together as he tried to put the right name to the face in his half awake state with heart still hammering, “Wha…?”
Heart still beating too loudly, Megamind sat staring blankly at her. He’d forgone the overly large cowl and cape, opting for the suit with the tall tight collar. To aid with stealth he’d worn spikeless gloves, giving his villainous attire a much softer look.
Logically he worked through what he could see. His first though was the Crimson Fucker, the face and hair was right. The expression was that of Anna… when he first met her… when she told him that her name was, “Emma?”
Emma stilled when her name was spoken, looking down at Syx in growing confusion. Okay.. soooo.. maybe this was Sheldon? But she knew her friend wouldn’t be caught dead sleeping on top of a building. Certainly it wasn’t him..Â
“..Ah.. yeah. And you aaaare…?” she drew out the last word, leaning back into a crouch as one ear turned off to the side, her head tilting just a touch to further express her confusion
Pulling back away from her further, it was incredibly disconcerting. Still, he was getting used to meeting doubles of people. Stiffly he answered, “Megamind.”
Eyes narrowed he hesitated, “You’re… Sheldon’s friend, right? Harrison’s little brother, Sheldon?”Â
He bit his lip, he’d met Sheldon once and it hadn’t really gone well. But he’d heard about the man enough from other people.
