With his holowatch firmly in place and activated, Syx strode into the small tattoo parlor wearing his most often used dark skinned face. His afro filling a portion of the space his blue head did in order to help the disguise generator. He found that the less the watch had to drastically fabricate the more realistic the disguise and the longer the charge lasted. Generating flowing hair and clothing he wasn’t actually wearing stressed the-the algorithms in the watch and increased the likelihood he’d end up looking like a CGI character come to life.

Smoothing out his leather jacket, Syx grinned at his uncle and leaned against the counter. Chatting about business and news since he’d been in prison. Passing on messages from those who were still inside.

Noticing Paige coming in he gave her a little wave, heading over toward her and plopping down in her tattoo chair as if he hadn’t turned down every offer she’d ever made to give him one. He flashed her a wide charming smile, green eyes shining.

“Draw up anything new while I was gone?” he always adored seeing her sketches for her designs.

Paige paused when his expression shifted, feeling as if he suddenly looked almost.. defeated? Frowning, she shifted to come closer to him, putting a hand on his forearm in a gentle touch that she didn’t really think about until the action was already done.

“Why not?” She asked, frowning softly. The concern for his sudden shift in attitude was clear in her expression, her pink hair slipping from behind her ear to fall into her face

-Because the holowatch won’t project your ink work. Because you’d be tattooing my skin and never see it. Because if you knew I was blue you likely wouldn’t be my friend because you’re normal, with a normal life.-

Syx closed his eyes against the harsh thoughts. Blowing out a breath he said, “This skin of mine doesn’t take ink well,” not a lie, not really, “It wouldn’t show up right.”

Paige frowned softly, “Well.. some people are like that,” She agreed, though it was far from being something she couldn’t work around. “You know I can still do it, even if your skin doesn’t take ink well. But you’ll have to understand you’ll have to come for a couple sittings to get it to look the way it should,” She offered, tilting her head.

“Because that scene,” seh motioned to his arm, “Would look bad ass on you.”

Syx just shook his head, eyes closed tightly, “Won’t work. No way around it,” not without turning of the holowatch, not without having to tell her.

Looking away from Paige, Syx finally asked, “What if… I wasn’t so normal?”
