The little blue boy blinked up at the blond woman. He shook his head vigorously no and put his fingers to his mouth in a shush motion. He was hiding from Daddy. Games were fun, even with Daddy’s mustache bristled.
Seeing as she was friendly and smelled nice, Syx moved closer to her. She was part of the game now and he didn’t know many ladies. But they were nice. The ones he knew, and she was nice too.
When Daddy still hadn’t appeared yet, the little boy grew a bit bored. He’d hidden too well more than likely. He leaned his head on the woman’s leg sleepily.
Mickey smiled gently as the child leaned on her, letting her hand rest on his head after a brief pause. She began to hum softly, beginning to wonder if there really was anybody that was coming for the child as he had said. She didn’t know the child’s name, didn’t know where he lived.
Shifting, Mickey scooped the child up into her arms with a small smile, “How about we go find a new hiding spot?” she urged, standing with Syx in her arms
As she carried the sleepy small blue child, a loud ruckus could be heard a ways away. On the street before a little red school house a man in a suit was shouting at the teacher, “What do you mean you LOST him!?”
Prison guards stood near looking nervous as the Warden finally spun around. Barking orders he sent the men to start searching the surrounding area for Blue. James Woodridge took a moment, fingers on the bridge of his nose, before he went to start hunting down his errant child as well.
