Harrison just shook his head with a bemused sigh as he followed the swishing silk. He’d hoped for Wayne to meet Syx as he truly was, as Harrison knew him. Wayne had met his share of Megaminds, but Harrison wanted his husband to meet the dominant but still sweet blue man, not the villain persona. But he also knew from years of watching his mate’s Megamind that the persona was often a shield for when he was nervous or afraid. If this was the way Syx wanted to start things off, that was his choice. Harrison wasn’t going to argue.
He enters the kitchen a few steps behind their houseguest. “It smells divine baby,” he says sweetly, heading for his mate and placing a kiss on Wayne’s bicep as he stood in front of the stove. Just a little something to show his adoration, since he knew his beloved would be nervous too.
[Having totally not been spying on the two men in the bedroom, Wayne
isn’t quite sure how he managed to overcook a batch of pancakes, but the
offending disks are quickly deposited into the trash. He would eat the
evidence himself, but burnt sugar is still sugar. Oh well, he still has
plenty more pancakes to make properly, including some more without
chocolate chips.][Unlike the last time they hosted a villain, he
doesn’t have an excuse to cook breakfast while shirtless. Instead, he is
wearing faded black jeans, a royal purple button-down shirt that makes
his eyes less blue, and, as usual at home, is barefoot. He doesn’t look
as flashy as the two blue men walking in, but he doesn’t feel less for
it.][Wayne leans down for a proper kiss, not at all being
satisfied by that little arm kiss after how things went last night.] The
bacon is starting to cool, so you guys should get plates. There are
blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes, three different fruit toppings, plus fresh whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
Syx’s bravado faltered watching the cute domestic scene play out. He swept the long robe back around himself again, covering his long blue legs again. He somewhat regretted not switching out of the shorts of the pajamas.
Chewing on his lower lip he tried to cover his nerves, though he feared he was failing badly. Wayne looks so much like his. And they were adorable together. A small envious ach started in his chest. BUT! The goal was to be a part of this, Harrison wanted him here. The newness of it all just made it more awkward, left him clueless.
Syx looked a bit lost at the request that he get a plate, instead focussing on the food. It seemed like overkill or at least something for a special occasion, “Are you trying to out do Minion? He’ll only take it as a challenge to his culinary skills,” he laughed softly and looked for somewhere to put himself, “Is there cocoa or coffee?”
