The little blue boy blinked up at the blond woman. He shook his head vigorously no and put his fingers to his mouth in a shush motion. He was hiding from Daddy. Games were fun, even with Daddy’s mustache bristled.
Mickey’s eyes widened just a touch at his gesture, before her expression grew more gentle. She wasn’t entirely sure just what was going on, but she wasn’t going to be leaving this boy alone. Shifting, the woman moved to sit beside Syx with a kind smile.
“Do you mind if I sit here with you then? Until they come?” She asked, keeping her voice low in a hushed whisper.
Syx contemplated that, then nodded, “Okay, but you have to be quiet. We’re hiding from Daddy,” he grinned brightly. It was a fun game.
