Syx hadn’t slept the entire time he’d been behind bars, he just couldn’t. The dreams always haunted him. The solitary made him feel half mad. More than half mad really. He’d pulled a stupid stunt to get out. Ā More foolish than he should, but it worked. Anna and Minion would be eager to see him. So would Wayne. Yet he found himself outside of the towering building that Harrison lived in. The bags under his eyes were deep, a five-o-clock shadow on his jaw, his clothing too big and stolen. He’d used a brain bot to fly up to the roof of a nearby building. He didn’t even know what his plan was. He was just tired and wanted the thoughts to go away.

Harrison smiled as Syx pulled him close possessively. Ā He didn’t mind Syx thinking of him that way at all and he responded by nuzzling his nose into the top of the other man’s head. Ā ā€œWhat do you mean byĀ ā€˜it’? Ā The whole heroes and villains game?ā€

Groggily Syx took a while to respond, ā€œYeah… doesn’t make sense if we’re datingā€¦ā€ he yawned, ā€œBut can really stop or go public. Ruin everything,ā€ his tired mind bouncing between topics confusingly, ā€œThis is nice. Really nice.ā€

Harrison isn’t following, but he doesn’t think that matters. Ā He knows what its like when his own massive mind shuts down, and he’s willing to bet Syx is crashing. Ā Now isn’t the time to offer solutions, now is just time to listen and give the other blue man some much-needed affection.

Harrison continues to caress the other blue man lazily across his back, neck, and head. Ā  ā€œYou deserve nice things,ā€ is all he says as he does his best to lull his companion to sleep.

Syx snuggled against his bed mate with a sigh, ā€œDon’t… not really,ā€ he was quite nearly asleep, ā€œI’m a monster,ā€ even if he sometimes regretted the path in life that was his destiny, it was still a choice he made and he’d do it again.

Harrison’s heart goes out to the blue man in his arms. Ā ā€œYou’re not a monster,ā€ he says fiercely, holding him tighter. Ā No matter what villainous things Syx has done, he can’t see him as a monster. Ā ā€œYou’re complex even by the standards of blue men, but not a monster. Ā Just a man. Ā And a good one, I think.ā€

Syx let out a shaky breath welcoming the strength of the blue arms around him. He could feel and smell Harrison. It let him trust those words far more then he would have from many others. Never able to accept good as a word to describe himself he at least relaxed enough to allow that he could have this. This touch and warmth. This love. From Harrison and the others that were in his life now. He tried anyway. With a soft voice and mind drifting to sleep he whispered, ā€œI don’t want to dream.ā€

Harrison continued his gentle caresses as Syx seemed to slip closer and closer to sleep. That’s good. Ā It’s clearly what he needs. Ā

ā€œIt’s okay,ā€ Harrison replied in his most soothing voice, the one he uses when Devin is frightened and unsure. Ā ā€œWith our brilliant minds together, we’ll make beautiful dreams.ā€

Syx gave a soft sound between a hum and a sigh. He was nearly gone, mind drifting. The scent of Harrison causing his mind to wander to pleasant memories as he drifted off. He shifted, wrapping his arms more securely around his companion as sleep overcame him.
