“I’m not one hundred percent sure about this…”

Syx tried his hardest not to cringe into Harrison’s side. He was used to the spotlight but from a safe distance. There was a reason that he kept himself separated from the populous through the use of projectors and broadcasts. He focused on keeping his mask of confidence in place with the certainty that the only person able to see through the act was the blue man at his side.

“If you want a financial interview Lawrence, set it up with my people.  My companion tonight is a friend who is new to Metro City, his name is Mr. Blue and we’re both wearing Dolce.  Otherwise I have no comment.  Come on.”  And he tugged Syx away from the cameras.

The questions followed in their wake.

“Mr. Blue how are you liking Metro City?”
“Mr. Blue does Wayne Drake-Scott know you’re here tonight with his husband?”
“Mr. Blue are you the supervillain Megamind?”
“How do you feel about breaking up a marriage with children involved?”

“This would be so much easier if I could wave a gun in their faces,” Syx breathed softly out of the corner of his mouth, “How do you deal with this?”

“It’s not always that bad,” Harrison chuckled.  “Sometimes it’s fun to hold court, be in the center of attention, have them hanging on my every word and admiring whatever I’m wearing.  Sheldon calls me a peacock,” he adds confessionally, with a preening smile.

Syx could concede that, his blue companion seemed to live for being a fabulous spotlight, “Being the center of attention is nice but I prefer that attention to be though a separation of a monitor screen and a good ten miles. At the the very last on the other side of a large robot.”

“Oh you villains,” Harrison replied, reaching up to straighten Syx’s tie with a mischievous grin.  They’re about to walk into a room full of Metro City’s rich and powerful, and he wants the other blue man to look perfect.  “So predictable.”

“Are you sure I look okay?” Syx fretted and grinned nervously, “I still have no idea what to say to these people.”
