The fencing lesson had been going well, Syx was having more fun then he had in ages and this was far better then sparing with a brain bot. Emma however had a bad habit of using far too much strength for the thin blade, so when her lunge missed she punched Syx square in the jaw. His head snapped back as he staggered.
Grinning with a stupidly happy expression, her eyes shining with wonder and excitement, “That was amazing!” she exclaimed. Wriggling, she quickly got out of the harness, speaking as she did.
“I want to go look at it!”
Syx sniggered at her excitement, “It’d be easier if we drove the Spe-ider Bot down to it, Tiger,” he pulled he back against him and took the controls himself, “Hold on,” with practiced ease he launched the bot off the side of the building and landed on the ground in a crouch, the hydraulics absorbing most of the shock of landing, “There we are!”
Delighted that they were closer now, ‘Emma’ quickly wriggled her way out of the large bot, dropping to the ground. Hurrying forward, she took up the blue square, turning it over in her hands before turning to Syx.
“How did you do this? Dehydrate it like this?” She asked, her eyes shining with curiosity
Syx followed her happy to see her enjoyment of his inventions, “Well it’s a bit more complicated then it sounds. Dehydration is just a good short hand for simplicity. Plus the fact that the molecular structure resets when exposed to water. Really it’s a form or molecular compression that forms a temporal stasis. I can store cubed things nearly infinitely and it works as well on organic life,” he cringed a bit, thinking of his long term storage cells of criminals he didn’t want to kill but couldn’t let go free, “Long term stasis results on organic life are still in progress. I do know that people can safely be cubed for at least a month with no ill effects other then a tingling sensation and temporary disorientation.”
